I dabbled in Plants vs. Zombies for a bit. That was definitely the era of casual PC and phone games, like Plants vs. Zombies, Diner Dash, Bookworm, Peggle, Bejeweled, etc. I'd like to try the Garden Warfare games, but I haven't gotten around to them yet.

These are my picks from page 4 of Metacritic's Best-of-all-time list for the years 2007-2009.
Plants vs Zombies - I loved tower defense games during this time. I own this on Xbox digitally. I wish they'd rerelease the sequel which only came out on phones and is now delisted. They took the series in a 3D action/adventure direction with the Garden Warfare series, which is pretty good, but I still love the tower defense style gameplay of the original better.
Little King's Story - I still have this for Wii. It always felt like a variation on Pikmin to me which is why I was drawn to it. It also made me think of Kingdom for Keflings where you send minions to build and gather things to construct a city. I've loved that sort of gameplay ever since the 90s Warcraft games. I want to play it again.
Resistance 2 - I used to own all three games in the Resistance trilogy. I've even played the first one to the end and a tiny bit of the others. It was a PS3 exclusive by Insomniac games and for whatever reason has never been remastered or rereleased in any way. I've been trying to find copies of this locally but no luck yet. It resembles Gears of War in many ways but has its own style. I remember it being very good. It's a must have series for my PS3.
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time - I have the same problem as the others in the Future series, I need them but can't find them locally. Ah, the stuff I've traded over the years and now want back. So many.
PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe - I loved this tower-defense game from the beginning and played it many times on my PS3. The deluxe version I found out about much later and picked it up just as the PS3 was done. 2007 was the year I discovered the tower defense genre with Desktop Tower Defense on PC and then PJ Monsters on PS3. I've been playing those types of games ever since. I especially liked that PJM had multiplayer and my friend and I (when he used to have a PS3) tried this out on several occations.
That's page 4. I've gone through 14 pages so far, so there's much more to ponder and yak about here. Any thoughts?
