Playlist 2 from 2010-12

My picks from the second page of 25 games on Metacritic's Best of All Time for the years 2010-2012 sorted by score and then by system.

PS3

MLB 11 The Show - I just bought a physical copy for $5. I've always wanted to try this series. It got so much hype back in the day, but it was exclusive to Sony systems, which is why I never played it. I had a PS3 but sports games tend to inspire multiplayer and my friend was always on Xbox.

XSS

Dead Space 2 - I own this digitally on XSS. I don't think I ever played it or, if I did, not very much. At the time, I was not a fan of the over-the-shoulder view of the first game. I've since then enjoyed it a lot. So I'd be happy to get back to DS2 and see how I like it.
Okami HD - I have played this on PS2 but not to the end. It's a long game. I put it on my wish list for XSS. I'd love to see the HD version.
Borderlands 2 - I own this digitally on XSS but it's the 360 version I played to heck with my friend Mark. Apparently, the more recent collections have been enhanced and perhaps have a new set of achievements to go after. Oh joy! I can't wait to replay the whole series again.
SMT: Persona 3 Portable - This game has seen many versions over the years. I'm thinking the full remake called Persona 3 Reload might be the version I'll play, so I added it to my wish list on XSS. I believe I played some of the PS2 version many years ago when I owned 3 and 4 there. I wish I still had them now.
Dark Souls - I own the 360 version on XSS. A remastered version is now on my wish list. I've played this several times but have never gotten very far into it. I'm only just starting to get the die-and-recover-souls gameplay loop.
XCOM Enemy Unknown - I saw I own and can download this on 360 but not XSS, which baffles me. I've played it but not to completion. It gets difficult, but I love it.

I make these lists hoping I'll get to them within the month but given the long list from page 1, it's unlikely. However, I do like to see what's upcoming so I can try and secure copies of these games for later. I also just like reading about games and writing about them.

Anything interesting here for y'all?

Since I'm playing Bakeru for a review right now, I've been thinking a lot about Okami since both games have heavy Japanese themes. Man Okami was so good! It was my GOTY in 2006, and I liked it better than the Zelda game that came out that year as well, Twilight Princess. You know a game has to be good if I like it better than Zelda! Sure it was a bit too long, but otherwise, you don't see games that good very often.

I have yet to play the HD version, been meaning to for years. I have it on my wish list but it doesn't seem to want to go below $10. Still, it's worth it when I have time for it.

Yeah, so, I never finished the original version because that control scheme just annoyed me, much as it does in Resident Evil games. But when I tried the remaster recently, I really enjoyed it and wondered what bothered me about it all those years ago. It's great, and I want to play it again.

Dead Space 2 is so good! But yeah, I remember your first list and you'll be lucky to have time for any of these.

I played Dead Space 3 a bit recently and really liked it. I think I must've skipped DP2. I'm thinking that once I've played each of the games on my first list, that next year I'll want to move on and get to these second lists. I've made good progress so far and actually finished more games than I usually do. So maybe next year. Haha.
