Play E'm Like They're Mini-Games

I've been going through my games like they were parts of a mini-game collection like NES Remix. I play to determine if I'm going to keep them or not. Or, I set some high bar of difficulty that gets me killed fairly quickly. It's also a test to see if I get sucked into a game for longer. Here's half of the stuff I sampled (I'll write up the rest tomorrow).
My GBA Games on a DS Lite
The DS Lite has a brighter screen than the GBA SP I have. Idealy I'd like the last GBA SP that came out with the brighter screen though.
Yahtzee (also has Game of Life and Payday) - I just played Yahtzee and it is so bare bones that I was quite disappointed. They could've at least done something graphically interesting for this very simple game.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age - I started this sequel to Golden Sun first as a random pick. You can transfer your character from the first game I noticed. I played for a while and thought I would get hooked, but I ran into a dead end in one area and couldn't figure out the solution. I resisted the easy lookup because I feel this shouldn't happen in a game. I'm on the fence about trading it though. I fell like a lookup might be what I want to do.
Namco Museum - Galaga - It plays really nicely on the GBA (or rather my DS lite that I'm using). A bit tiny on that small screen, but looks good. Other games are here too like Ms, Pac-Man, Galaxian, Dig Dug and Pole Position.
Klonoa: Empire of Dreams - I love this. Something about that Wind Ring ability is really fun to me. It helps platforming and solving puzzles or maybe I just like chucking things. I did a half dozen worlds and will keep playing it next week, I think.
My PS2 (Slim Platinum baby! - sounds like a rapper)
Burnout Dominator - Oh yes! This is a keeper. No crash mode but you basically crash all the time in the races anyway, so who needs it. I put it aside for now so I can crash through my collection to find trade material, but I will be back.
Commandos 2 - I played a lengthy tutorial and realized how good the controls are in this. You can do a lot of things in these mixed turn-based and real-time environments. Kind of makes me think of Valkyria Chronicles a little bit in that way. I got into the first mission and realized I really didn't want to play a deep strategy game though. I was always drawn to this game by the graphics because it looks amazing for 2001. It's been remastered too. Keeper or not? I can't decide.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly - Controls are exactly like Year of the Dragon. I like this series better than the Banjo or Bandicoot games. Egads! Yeah, I like head butting things and breathing flame, electricity, bubbles or whatever. I'll keep playing this a while longer next week.
I'll have to save the Xbox Series S stuff 'til tomorrow 'cause I'm running out of time today. There's a lot anyway. One more thing though.
TV Break Time!
Yes, during gaming sessions with my buddy Mad Krammer I take meal breaks with era appropriate TV shows available on youtube. Since I'm on the 2000's this month, I found 2000's Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue.
Oh man, does this fit the bill. Tons of practical effects, models, train sets, hilarious full-body suit costumes, kaiju vs transforming robot battles, martial arts fighting, exciting theme music, goofy team antics like you might see in cheerleading, mime because you have to do body movements to make up for mask obscured faces, it has it all. I'm going through the episodes a few at a time on game days.
See ya later!
