I'm deeply obsessed with Hogwarts Legacy right now, but I found some time to knock off a few more gen six games for either keeps or trades. Then I got some black friday sale games already - also finished a book and watched more Power Rangers.
GBA on DS Lite
Rayman 10th Anniversary - This looks amazing, but yet another platforming character who can't swim. I absolutely won't tolerate such nonsense. haha. TRADE! Golden Sun - This stumped me even faster than its sequel. Every path blocked by a bolder with no apparent solution. You know, I try to grok these gaming mysteries, but sometimes I can't be bothered by a lookup. It just breaks the experience. TRADE! Mark Kart Super Circuit - Now this is a fine kart racer for your GBA, but I'd really rather race on the big screen. A softly said, trade.
PS2 Slim Silver (sounds like a western gunshooter)
Culdcept - Well, the game finally beat me with its perfect execution of land effects cards. Hey, I'm just getting the hang of it, and I got to go up against pros. Not fair. I'm not trading this though. I am stopping for now, however. A round can last over an hour, and to lose after all that makes me want to take a nap. Keeps. GTA: Vice City - This copy of mine was working fine, the radio blasting while riding my stolen Harley, until I switched to the V-Rock channel, and then CRASH. I guess the location on the disc for those songs is baffo. I may have the disc resurfaced again, but not now. Keeps?

Hogwarts Legacy
What a great game! I'm obsessed with collecting ingredients for potions, doing side quests, solving Merlin challenges, flying around on my broom, and magic battling every darn thing. I noticed that the real developer is Avanlanche Software, the guys/gals/thems who did the Disney Infinity games among many others. What a great studio. More on this in the coming weeks.
Purchases
Psychonauts ($3) - Why not have a digital copy. Maybe I'll get to the end this time. Halo: The Master Chief Collection ($10) - Since I don't have GamePass right now, I thought I should own this digitally. I'll play all the many games in this collection again for sure. Army of Ruin ($4) - An auto-shooter by Milkstone Studios who did my favorites Farm Together 1-2. I've been wanting for a sale of this a long while. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie (trade credit, X360) - I got this because I wanted a CIB version of the loose disc I own. A great racer I love. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (credit, DS) - This completes my Prof. Layton DS game collection. I've played it many years ago but would replay it in a hearbeat. One of the few games that made me cry at the end. Wacky Races: Crash and Dash (credit, Wii) - I knew there was a console Wacky Races after the PS1 game, and I found it by chance at my game store. Even if it's a bad game, I want to see those vehicle designs again from the tv show. PS Move Controller (credit, PS3) - I thought I'd give it a try with the following two PS3 games I got: Brunswick Pro Bowling and Carnival Island.
TV
Still moving through all the Power Ranger: Lightspeed Rescue episodes. Every one does one more incredible thing like introduce another wild villain in full costume, another Megazord upgrade, a new ranger, or who knows what next. It's a bunch of fun with no brain cells needed.
Books
I finished Ted Chiang's Stories of Your Life and Others. An excellent collection of short stories weaving complex subjects like math, linguistics, brain science and genetics into fiction.
I'm still chipping away at Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, a book about magic but very different than Harry Potter.
And that's a week. More Black Friday deals to check out during Thanksgiving and the wrap up of my gen six consoles revisit (even though I only got part way through PS2 and GBA). I think I'll delve into PS3 and DS in December.

Aw, too bad you're going to trade Mario Kart: Super Circuit. That's my second favorite Mario Kart game, only because it plays so much like the SNES one, which is my favorite.
I never could get into the Harry Potter stuff. I stopped reading the books after the fourth one. Everyone else in my family loves Harry Potter, so I'm kind of the black sheep in that regard. Personally, my favorite books series were the Chronicles of Narnia books I read as a kid.
Psychonauts for 3 bucks is a good deal. I like that game better than the sequel. It was just so much more funnier. Nowadays people are so afraid of offending others they forgot how to be funny. The sequel is like that.
The Sonic racing games are really good. One of the few series that can compete with Mario Kart.
I didn't even know there was a Wacky Races game on the Wii. I had the one on the Dreamcast. Wacky Races is my favorite H-B cartoon.
Speaking of racing games, I just got Kirby Air Riders. it's so good. It'll probably win second place in my GOTY awards.
