Not much else than Hogwarts Legacy actually as it has totally taken over this week, retro games suffer, but there is at least something to mention.

PS3

PS Move Heroes - I couldn't play it because I couldn't clear enough memory space. I am rather afraid to delete some of my downloaded games right now (Suikoden 1-2, Wild Arms etc...). I have to double check that I can still get them back.

I'm surprised this game needs so much memory and that my 40GB hard drive is so full. I need to look up ways to clear more space or get another PS3 model, which is my prefered solution. A PS3 super slim goes for just over $100 at my local stores. I'm hoping to gather some more in-store credit soon to do it.

Carnival Island - I played the story mode all the way to the end credits, unlocking every mini game. It has cutscenes! The games are simple and fun with the move controller, which worked perfectly. The game has you calibrate it right at the start which is how every PS Move game should work. Games run the gamut from ring tossing to bowling, to basketball, to shooting to frog tossing/flying? Yea, one set of games involved flipping frogs into the air and then steering them like airplanes into targets. Weird. A decent game overall. Lots of challenges I can go for in future plays 'cause it's a keeper. Oh, and trophies. I'm getting trophies now. It's been a while.

XSS

Hogwarts Legacy - I finished the main story and completed all the challenges to 100%. I only had to look up a map for the last two landing zones I didn't have. For the rest, I just auto-flew over the world while spamming Revelio to locate places I needed to go for various other challenges. Landing Zones don't come up on the map or minimap, only get highlighted blue when you are looking at them. This makes them really difficulty to find, although, I got all but 2 of the 20 on my own.

Then it was all about achievements, and I got most of them. The hardest is for getting all collectibles, but I gave it a shot anyway because this world is so fun to explore and interesting to look at and navigate. I'm not finished and not sure I want to. Some of them like Demiguise statues could be anywhere with only general hints as to their location. It's like hunting for needles in haystacks.

So I'm taking a break from the collectathon and creating new characters to get the house specific achievements. I made up a Hufflepuff character with a randomly choosen appearance. I love randomly generating a character and then seeing his/her appearence in every cut sceen and dialog scene and hear their different voice tone as well. You also get a few more dialog options (I was Ravenclaw for my first playthrough) and get to explore the unique common rooms for each house, but it's the same story and side quests. I only have to play up to a certain mission not too far into the game to get the achievement. Then I'll do a Griffendor and Slytherin character.

I'm also playing on progressively higher difficulty, Normal for my Hufflepuff (I did Story mode for Ravenclaw which was too easy) which makes various things different in battle and in spell acquisition. I'm appreciating the changes because I have to really dig in and pay attention in battles now and make sure I don't mess up learning new spells. The game's battle system really starts to shine even more brightly on higher difficulty.

I've just topped 100 hours according to the Xbox app (in-game it says 75. I think Xbox counts idle time), but I feel the end is nigh.

Purchases

LittleBigPlanet Karting - I got this to try out the PS Move steering controler I got.

And that's a week. Next week I hope to get to DQM: Rocket Slime (DS) and more PS Move games on my PS3 before mopping up the last few dregs of Hogwarts Legacy.
