Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to watch this Mission Impossible episode "Odds on Evil", linked below, from 50 sec to about 1:40 and observe the 1966 arcade.

I love it when I find game related stuff in movies and TV. Got any of your own? The more obscure the better. Post 'em below.

when i lived in San Francisco there was a museum of old school "arcade" games and player pianos.  I'm not sure if it still exists.

Ever play that game "Impossible Mission"?

Heard of it but never played it.

As soon as I saw the pilot episode of Mission Impossible I thought, this would make an awesome game and I've been struggling to think of any modern game that comes close to what that could be. LA Noire comes to mind and now, thanks to you, Impossible Mission, but what else?

I never saw it, but I remember reviews making a big deal about this movie's focus on Shadow of the Colossus. It's obscure in that I just now remembered it existed. lol

I like how the messages in Mission: Impossible self-destruct. Didn't know the 60s show had full episodes on Youtube.

Cool! Shadow of the Colossus!

Yea, I watched MI on Netflix streaming but a lot of episodes are on Youtube in full. That's very helpful so I don't have to make an ugly capture with my pocket camera.

Back when a quarter was worth something...

In another episode I noticed a sign for a Penny Arcade. I think at one time the penny was the usual coin for these places but it must've been more than that even in the sixties. Definitely the quarter was the thing when video games came along.
