Go for it, John!
Yeah, I have to seriously keep an eye on my spending, as I'm working seasonally again. No new games without price drops for me, sadly.

I bailed on saving for a PSVita the other day and instead went and picked up Bioshock Infinite and God of War Ascention brand new at Gamestop for $40 each. Happily the saleswoman didn’t try to convince me to buy the used versions. In fact we got into a long, and genuine, conversation about games and comics, not the usual Gamestop BS where the salesperson chats you up and then tries to get you to preorder something. I’ll gut the pig that does that to me next time. Kidding! I’m a friendly guy. I like pigs too. When they’re bacon of course. Kidding! I hardly ever eat bacon.
Anyway, I was quite charmed by her and if it wasn’t for my lame situation in life right now, I would have asked her out. I figure a guy’s got to have something to offer a girl, and my living on tips just won’t cut it I think. I’m willing to let love have its way, however, and a date with her is not out of the question. I feel like chucking my insecurities and just going for it anyhow. I am so desperately horny. Kidding! Lonely, I meant. I would never insist on something unnatural in a relationship. Let nature take its course I say. Only love can be the result.
I’ve bailed on preorders too. I have a new system where I let a season of three months pass before I look back and start buying the games I want. This way I can listen to the feedback, play the demos and really think over my purchases before buying. There is the occasional game that becomes hard-to-find almost as soon as it comes out, so I may make some exceptions. I’m thinking of Dragon’s Crown for PS3 in August. Maybe I’ll make that preorder at my now favorite Gamestop with my favorite saleswoman. If you’re reading this, you know who you are. There’s a preorder coming your way. Thanks for being beautiful to me.
Yea, BSI and GOWA both came down $20 in only two months! I thought with BSI's success that it's price would stay high the rest of the year. Luckily I had six weeks of savings thinking I was getting a Vita. What the heck do I need a Vita for anyway? Both Muramasa Rebirth and Dragon's Crown will be playable on PS3.
Most of the women we get at our Gamestop are very lovely, but they often move on quickly. It's a shame, because they are usually really nice and well informed about new games. Then there's Hagrid[as we call him] who is a big, hairy wretch of a human being! He is a Sony fanboy of the highest order and is very biased in his opinions. You made some great picks on those games,as both are awesome. Good price! Hope that you find some good lovin' at Gamestop....or elsewhere. Maybe at Wal Mart? No forget that....too scary. I'd go woo that girl at Gamestop if I were you, much safer.
Don't let you financial situation be a factor. If a woman is only impressed with how much your willing to spend on her, then she is not the kind of woman you want to waste your time on. If she's working at Gamestop its not exactly like she ballin either. I say go for it.
As for preorders I think Dragon Crown is a safe bet. I don't do preorders often either mostly cause I'm cheap, but I also gotta be pretty confidant thats its not going to be a stinker. So far I've been pretty lucky, The only preorders I have done were Skyward Sword, Borderlands 2 and Persona 4 Arena. I do have Dragon Crown & Tales of Xillia currently on preorder but I think they are both going to be really good.
I've pre-ordered one game. That was Skyrim for PS3. I never pre-ordered again.
Also, you should ask her out. The worst that could happen is she says no, in which case you know where you stand and you've lost nothing.
Also, it is really annoying that they push used games. They aggressively try to take money from the developers, the lousy cunts. Then again, they make like 5 bucks off a new copy, so it's understandable.
Yep. And pre-ordering is stupid. The only time I ever pre-order is if I get something phenomenally awesome with it. For instance, I pre-ordered Metro: The Last Light because it included the Metro 2033 book, which was quite hard to find a translated copy of, an kickass assault rifle replica, and a few other neat things. And I already like the series. If I don't get anything like that, I won't bother.
I have become quite aggravated at gamestop. Since, I am working on my backlog I find myself not entering that store as much as often. Last time I was in there I was asked a bunch of questions by an employee, and I just wanted to browse.
As far as the topic that I am not an expert in. I had no job when I met the woman who became my wife. I eventually found a job, but I still would have liked to be in better financial shape when we had finally gotten married. I shudder to think of what would have happened if I had waited...
I try to do the same thing as you do with buying games. Sometimes though I wait years before getting around and then see it again and go oh yeah I wanted that lol.
I usually don't go to gamestop anymore...unless it's where the game is being sold cheaper. I usually shop around on the internet to see if I can find it as cheap as possible.
