Well, if they have editing tools that's awesome. Most Let's PLays are shit, but I genuinely enjoy a few of them, and I like things like Red vs. Blue, even if I don't always want to play Halo; so if these DVRs make that easier, I'm definitely all for it.
Game DVR. Excited?

Both the PS4 and Xbox One will have this feature which will allow you to record gameplay from any game you play on the system. How will you use it? Will these blogs be just full of gameplay videos? I know mine will. Except that i'm going to try and keep them short and to the point. No one wants to watch tens of minutes of footage of someone else's game. At least, I don't think so. I know I'm kinda warry of watching anything game related for more than a minute or two because there just isn't enough time and I want to go play something, not watch someone else play. Short highlights seem the best thing to me.
I remember when save films started for Halo and I thought it would be really cool to watch the mayhem in other people's games. I got on Waypoint and I watched the gameplay and you know what? I was bored pretty quickly and never bothered to go back there. It's one of those things that is much better when you are a part of it. Gameplay, as crazy as it may be, all starts to look the same after a while.
However, that being said, it would be really cool to show off something you made in Minecraft or a brief key highlight in some action game.
I wonder if there will be editing tools on the new consoles so you can make your own highlight reels and then send them anywhere you want.
I'm excited for Game DVR. Are you?
