New Name, New Place

I am previously known as RunningWithGuns at 1UP, but now that 1UP is closing up, I decided to move here and make a name change to KnightDriver.

The name is partially a reference to the Atari 2600 game, Night Driver, that I used to play, and the fact that I do a lot of night driving in my job (may it please change sometime soon...argh!). It also suggests my interest in RPGs and fantasy by using the word Knight. I find coming up with names I'm happy with a difficult chore, and I'll probably wish I had chosen something else in short order, but there it is.

So far it looks like all the tools are accounted for here in this PixlBit blog, and a bunch of new ones I'm going to have to try out. So far so good.

Fact of the day: 'Knight Driver' was a public access television show starring David Hasselhoff's brother, Roger Hasselhoff, and ran from 1986 to 1988.  Welcome.

Awesome blog! You use the paddle controler for Night Driver. A strange little cylinder with a rotating top that serves as a kind steering wheel. It worked really well with the Breakout games. I wish I had one for my 360 so I could play Super Breakout in Game Room. It's impossible with the Xbox controller.

Names are so hard for me. I'm never satisfied with them. I wish I could change it every few months when I think of a better one.
