Wtf man? Spoilers! Well, I probably would have never played them, but still. lol
Speaking of comic book continuations, I need to get me some Avatar comics, possible a couple issues of Sonic Mega Man crossover.

A new thirteen part Mass Effect comic series begins today with Mass Effect: Foundation No. 1! This one seems to be about a conflict of interests between Cerberus and the Shadow Broker. Cerebus fights for the rise of humans within the Galactic order and the Shadow Broker is just about selling information for money. It's kinda like patriots vs. businessmen (which would be a good title to an indie game). The central character is a woman working for the Shadow Broker looking for an agent of Cerberus on a mining colony orbiting gas giant Themis. I won't go into any more detail for the sake of spoilers, but there's a neat twist at the end that really makes you want to know more.
The comic is written by Mass Effect lead writer Mac Walters. He's done all the comics, sometimes with other writers who did work on the games. I've read them all and they've been very good. The art in Foundation is by Omar Francia who has done most of the other Mass Effect comics. He's also done some Star Wars comics including the Force Unleashed 2 comic. The art reminds me of animation that verges on realistic, eg. bold lines, not too much shading, and bold primary colors. It's a good look for this Mass Effect comic, well in keeping with the graphic style of the games. Which, I'm sure, is what they were after.
After the Mass Effect 3 game, I thought it was probably the end of the Mass Effect Universe in games as well as comics. I'm glad I was proven wrong with this thirteen part comic and BioWare's announcement of a new Mass Effect game in development. The Mass Effect universe is going to continue in the next generation. I'm thrilled!
