Tues-Sat (my work week): Played a few more hours of Ni No Kuni on PS3. I need to get more time in with it, but often at night I am tired and just play PSP in bed. I had to relearn the controls for battles. I'd been away from it for almost a week. It's not hard, but battles are a little hectic until you get used to them. You have to make quick decisions and know where all your abilities are on the screen so you can click them quickly.

On my PSP was Valkyria Chronicles II, and I played it pretty much every night in short thirty minute bursts. My PSP keeps giving me a screen that asks if I want to shut down all the time. I keep thinking I'm bumping the slider on the right side that shuts off the PSP, or maybe the miniCD is not tight in it's holder. I always wondered at why the PSP uses discs. It seems something that could easily break down over the years. It's another aspect of the PSP that contributes to my feeling that it is a fragile device. I still love it though. I just have to figure out how not to trigger the shut down screen while I'm playing.

Bought a PS VIta after seeing the comparison shots with the upcoming model. I didn't want to get stuck with a lower quality Vita, so I broke down and got one now before they disappear.

i didn't get into Valkyria Chronicles 2 because i didn't like the characters as much at first and the format seemed different than the first one.  I sold it, but I wish I still had it.  Maybe I will buy it again and give it another shot.

The battles are still solid and their's lots of equipment to upgrade and mod. I got all excited when I realized I could put a crane on my tank so I could build bridges and ladders.

My first strategy was to just level up the Shocktroopers but now I'm thinking about the mortar attachment to the tank. I want to try that out as a regular strategy.

been thinking the same of my PSP as of late as well. It's not as sturdly built like my 1000 model that sony bricked on me a few years back. I do have a 16 GB memory stick so so far I'm planning on digital offerings, unless I find uber cheap UMD's in the future.

My first PSP was the 1000 but I cracked the screen by putting it in my backpack. I got the 2000 to replace it and I still have it.

In looking at the Wiki page I didn't know there was a 3000 model. That looks cool!psp3000
