Two down, one more to go. Another lucky find as I went to one of the only Gamestops that still have PSP games on the floor. Not only that, the two titles I wanted were both there in the box and complete. Weehoo!

Sega Genesis Collection: I have the PS2 version of this, but who doesn't love these games on the go as well? I'm interested in Golden Axe III, Phantasy Star IV. There are a different set of five unlockable games from the PS2 version to make this even more worth having.

Namco Museum Battle Collection: On the go with the PSP, I had to have something with Galaga and Xevious. You can also change the size of the screen and turn the system sidways for a more authentic look to these ports. Four of the games come with alternate enhancements to make them look and play in a more modern style: Pac-Man, Galaga, New Rally X, and Dig Dug.

what are the five unlockable games on the sega collection?  I think I have that.  Does it have Last Battle on there?

Astro Blaster, Congo Bongo, Eliminator, Space Fury, and Super Zaxxon.

I never was a fan of Xevious. I don't like having to differentiate between air and ground foes. I want to blast them all with equal abandon!

It makes you think of two things at once which makes things hectic, but I kinda liked that aspect. Like a bombing run in a plane. My other favorites of the genre also have the same thing: Sky Shark, 194x series, and Twinbee.

My favorite shmup of all time is a pre-OSX Mac game called BulletEx. It was made by a Japanese guy and was a ton of fun to play. Vertical scrolling, great pixel graphics and music, very challenging, and no need to bomb ground baddies Wink You can still find it to download but it hasn't been updated for modern operating systems, which sucks 'cause I'd play that again in a heartbeat.

I've always wanted to play Ikaruga. I don't think you bomb anything in that game.

Ikaruga is fantastic. I got it as soon as it came out for the GameCube. Yeah, no ground bad guys. No power ups either, which actually works out really well. Just you a the polarity system. Well, and and friend, hopefully. That's the best way to play Smile

It's on XBLA now as well. I think it's kinda rare now in it's original console versions.

Whenever I see these Genesis collections, it makes me want to revisit 'The Haunting'. You play as a ghost who has to frighten people out of a house, and it really stood out to be as being original when I first played it. Enjoy the collections, man!

OMG! It's on a collection for PSP called EA Replay! Now I got another PSP game to go get. The Haunting sounds like a great concept.

Are you serious?! I haven't played that game since it first came out 20 years ago! I think I'll have to revisit it, if you pick up EA Replay and play it let me know what you think!

I owned the Sega Genesis Collection back when I owned a PSP. I played it specifically for Phantasy Star IV on the go but somehow I'd always put some time in Columns.

I have it on PS2, but I think I'll like the PSP version better.

I love my copy of Sega Genesis Collection. Just having those Phantasy Star titles is worth the price of admission. Stil wondering if I should buy a digital version. my PSP only has room for two spare UMD's.

I have the Phantasy Stars on console now, but on-the-go is really nice.
