that Marlow Briggs ad is cool, but Chris did write the game kind of sucks. It's too bad.

I scanned three lovely video game print ads, The Wolf Among Us, Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death, and Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, from my comics these last few weeks. Thought I'd share them and maybe discuss them a little.
I wasn't much into playing The Walking Dead, but The Wolf Among Us looks more my speed. From all I've heard it's very well done if not as tense and troubling as The Walking Dead. I haven't read the Fables comics from which Wolf Among Us is based, but I do like the comic book style graphics of the game.
This Marlow Briggs ad is really cool because it's a throwback to comic book ads of the seventies and eighties. It's a mini comic that promotes a product in a short one page story. I've seen many of these kinds of ads in old comics. The game looks like a real over-the-top action game with a lot of melee fighting. Some segments of the trailer suggest some similar gameplay to God of War or X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I'm going to have to seriously consider this one.
And speaking of melee fighting games, I'm always wowed by the graphics of the Ninja Gaiden games, if only they wouldn't punish me so much for my failures.
Student - "I'm sorry sensai. I am not worthy."
Sensai - "More wax on, wax off."
Student - "Yes, thank you sensai."
The cell shaded art style looks really cool and reminds me of Tenchu Z from way back. It seems there will be online co-op for Yaiba: NGZ too. Now I'm really excited.
