Dark Souls Design Works Art Book

Every week I go to comiXology to see what new comics have come out and I saw this book, Dark Souls Design Works. One of my favorite things about the Dark Souls games is the visual look, so I really wish I could pick this up. It's $40 though, so I guess I'll wait and put it on a list for when I feel I can spend the money. Maybe if I see it at my comic shop, I'll page through it.

Or I can look at some scans that are online already. Here are a few that look interesting.

Yea, I love the trailers for all the Souls games. I think the look is called Gothic Horror or something.

That third one looked like a Shamu/starving woman hybrid gone wrong, then like a fuzzy black bird/starving woman hybrid gone wrong. Either way, it done look like it gone wrong!

I saw this on Amazon a couple of days ago and it's only $25 there. It was temporarily out of stock but you can still order it.

I've got all the Dark Souls Artbooks that come with the game (I've bought the game three times...) but I don't have this! NEED!

Yeah. There's one that shows you the original creatures, and one that goes more into the architecture, and also shows you the sketching steps. I ADORE the artwork for Dark Souls!

I wish I'd gotten the collector's edition for Demon's Souls. I got that game day-one and could have done it.

I asked Chessa for this for Christmas, but she wound up getting me some other (awesome) stuff. But damn, I think I need to buy this for myself. I've got some smaller art books from the game, as well as the soundtrack, but they're no substitute for this beauty.

I'm not one for artbooks myself but that book build looks pretty snazy. black leather or syntheic?

Here's a description I just read: "Released in a sturdy hardcover, UDON’s edition features a pearlized silver dust jacket, with ultra high-gloss black and silver treatments, making it practically shimmer (with evil) on your bookshelf!"

I guess that means no leather, or even pleather, but shimmering with EVIL. That's nice.
