I'm really excite for this one. Bungie just makes games that really click with me and Destiny seems to be focusing on Halo's strong points and finding ways to make them better.

Possibly the only FPS that will make this list (Routine is first person adventure), I'm interested in this purely because the design work, while typical video game sci-fi, is a cut above other generic sci-fi game art direction in terms of professionalism and aesthetics. It looked sumptuous in the E3 video, relief from the sea of grey that has washed over the man-shoot genre.
I liked the first Halo well enough, over valued as it is, and Bungie has a pretty good track record in the genre so far with it and Marathon. Their games always have a solid foundation and a relatively high level of polish.
Game will come with the usual level of hype and has already been given the badge of Important Game by the media, even though no one has played a finished build. But that's just politics as usual. It's going to be a solid, colorful, blockbuster event game, and sometimes that's just what I want. Also, since it's multiplayer, there will probably be a high skill ceiling and challenge, which you can't say about many AAA games these days, so it's not all about graphic whoring, and it looks more ambitious and content rich than that other big FPS coming out this year.
