Just watched video impressions of the Titanfall beta, by popular Youtuber,TotalBiscuit. I haven't thought much of this game, seeing it as little more than Xboy hype (nothing against sensible Xbox users, but I thought "why does this game get so much hype as being the next big FPS thing, but Planetside 2 and Tribes: Agenda didn't get anywhere near the same hype when they were new)...until now. I'm very digging it. Sure, I still think some games get immediate hype because of politics, but It looks like loads of fun and has potential for many badass moments.  It looks purely video gamey in the way a Mario game is, or more appropriately, Unreal Tournament. Not that it's a similar kind of FPS, but there is little in the way of concessions being made to realism or "immersion" (you know the kind of talking about). Very arcade, fast paced, physics defying stuff. Unfortunately I can't afford a new console or PC upgrade anytime soon.

I wasn't thinking much either by whatever Respawn would be making until I saw that E3 demo, just looked like a blast to play. So glad this is coming to 360.

No concessions made to realism? Good.

I mean you're not getting mushroom powerups or anything like that, and the graphics are realistic, but yeah it's all about maximizing play fun within the bounds of the concept. Because why not run on walls, have your mech drop out of the sky after you get a certain amount of kills, or have a deck of cards that give you different perks?

I think the 6v6 is really going to hurt it. It needs to have much larger matches I think.

I don't think so. It's designed around that number of players. From the beta videos I've seen, it seems to work exceedingly well. The small number of game modes and unit types could be a problem though.

Tribes and Planetside 2 got a ton of hype for pc when they came out... especially from totalbiscuit.

Coincidentally, I am wearing Totalbiscuit's Archmage shirt while typing this. DEAR GOD I'M A NERD!!!!
