Since it's Saturday, I had several sessions of Kong, but it was my first time that turned out the best (and is pictured below). The weirdest part about this particular game is that I lost all of my extra lives on the first cement factory level, each one in almost the same way. Then I went on and got past the third elevator and ended with a decent score. All of my other games were in the 90,000s too, so all in all it was a good day and I'm getting some consistency back.

No time for added factoids and things today, but I will leave you with a (very poor) picture of the little robo dwarf hamster who sits right by our Donkey Kong cabinet. She's pretty cute, and very very fast, which is why this picture is not so great. I tried for a while to get a good photo, but she zips around much too fast for me to take a good one. Anyway, she's cute and kinda stinky, and has to put up with 8-bit sound effects when she's trying to go for a peaceful run in her wheel at night. Well, it's not that peaceful since the wheel squeaks to all hell, but I stll think the sound effects bother her a little. We all have to sacrifice for Kong, even the hamster.

Pretty good pic for a speedy little hamster. If you had one of the cameras I'm wanting, like a Canon Rebel DSLR or some such, you could just increase the shutter speed and clickity clickity clickity clack. I miss using DSLRs. Wonder if the Film dept. would rent me one of their video ones.

Funny you should say that... This is a Canon EOS Rebel T3! I don't know how to use it too properly yet, but on the rapid-fire, the problem is that she moves EVERYWHERE in the cage so fast, including charging at the open door. So, unless I were to take a picture of the entire cage and forget my fear of a loose hamster being eaten by the dog, I will still have problems.

I guess you could go the opposite route with the shutter speed for some sweet motion blur. Photography is definitely one of many cool media things you can more or less teach yourself online, given the resources available. I wish I had a car when I was in my Digital Photo class, so I could capture the nature and other cool stuff off campus. I'm thinking of buying my own DSLR that can capture video.

You trust that thing to not break out and try to make a home inside your cabinet? I can see it now, climbing all over those wires and taking a nibble *shudders*

I definitely do not trust it.
