Linked to Article Series: Blog a Day (BaD) 2014

Another fantasic weekend has come to a close, and it's back to work for me tomorrow. (We don't believe in the existence of Presidents.) I was only able to squeeze in one game this morning, and was itching for more, but it just didn't work out. I'm trying to work on some other projects (which I may discuss here later in the week if all goes well) and did some fun stuff with the fam.

I got over 100,000 in my sole attempt at DK, and had several lives until the very end -- a big change from my recent games, where I have had no stockpile after a series of early slip-ups.

As a random side note, there should be some interesting reviews getting posted this week on the site, so watch for that. Conversely, a review I wrote will also be posted.

As a note related to that random note, I've been trying to remember that we have forums now and pop over there from time to time between reading BaD entries like a mad man. I started a thread about books, so if you like to read, check it out and join in. We could all use some good book recommendations!

I just started reading Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan again. I'm really excited about it. I don't know if I'd recommend it though. It's a great series, but there's like 14 books, and they are all about 1000 pages. The dude died before finishing it.

I wish I had more time to read books that weren't research journals or text books. I guess I have to make time.

Congrats on the 100,000 + score

I just finished The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. It's great. Life changing.
