It’s March now and I don’t have any preorders this month, so I want to buy something. It’s in the budget so it’s ok, but what do I get? My wishlist is almost 200 games strong. I just can’t decide - Fortune Cookie randomizer on Backloggery.com to the rescue!
The first title to appear was Art Style: ORBIENT on WiiWare.
It's got black holes!
I remember wanting this game way, way back when I had just got my Wii. This is a very beautiful game featuring the game-play of the physics of gravity in space between heavenly bodies – and I mean planets and suns not breasts and buns. I’m a huge astronomy fan and always wanted some sort of simulation of space to play with. I downloaded it on my Wii after buying a DSi points card. It works for Wii purchases as well.
Then I had the bug again a day later and hit the old Fortune Cookie button again. What came up but Dragon Warrior III for NES. Well, this game was remade and improved for Super Famicon and Game Boy Color I found out. Turns out I have the Game Boy Color version already and can play it on the big screen with my GameCube Game Boy Player. So I removed it from my list. It could be cool to play the original NES version, but it’s not essential, so on to another pick.
Another click brought up Super Paper Mario for Wii. I have Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, but haven’t played it yet. I always thought, since I liked the RPG take on Mario with the Mario & Luigi games, that I would like the Paper Mario games too. So I’ve put them on my list and just need to find the time to play them. I looked for Super Paper Mario new at BestBuy because it’s out as a Nintendo Selects title for $20, but no luck so I had to go to Gamestop and get it used after trading in a few 360 games (Shaun White Snowboarding and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition). There’s no booklet in the copy I got. Boo! But I got it.
