I picked up Scribblenauts: Unmasked for 3DS. $20 new. I want to play as Harley Quinn and give this series a try.

Then I picked up a Xbox 360 Kinect sensor so I could try Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor. I know this game has been reviewed as basically broken, but I was so excited by the trailers when it came out that it has never left my list even after the bad reviews. I guess I'm glad I didn't get it day-one like I was thinking back then, but I had to get it eventually to see the game in action for myself.

I'm glad to finally have a Kinect device. I have maintained a small list of titles I'd like to try with Kinect since it came out. Now I'll be able to check it out. I got the sensor at Gamestop used for $30. BestBuy had them new, but they wanted $100 and that seemed a bit much to me.

I have a Kinect... somewhere.  Tongue Out

Honestly there's not much I really want to do with the Kinect, but I'll mess with it a bit. It can take video and still photos I guess. Hum... Maybe something there.

I wanted to go by GameStop today and pick up a Kinect.  I was all set and then some other stuff came up and I couldn't go.  I may go tomorrow.  I want to play Kinect sports.

I talked to a guy at BestBuy for a long time and he mentioned Kinect Sports. I'm not too interested in it but I hear the bowling is pretty good. He mentioned a lot of games that use the Kinect that I forgot about like doing dragon shouts in Skyrim, or something or other in Mass Effect 3 and Halo Anniversary. He also mentioned one of the Tiger Woods Golf games uses it a lot and is pretty cool.

A solid round of buys. Deep, deep kudos on picking up Scribblenauts. ..let us all know how you like it

Scribblenauts may be solid but I know that Steel Battalion isn't. It's too bad it didn't control like it was supposed to from what I hear. I just want to see the opening cinematics and then maybe I'll have to figure out how to get it to play with broken controls. I was so excited for it. The trailers at the time were fantastic.

There's only one Kinect game that I really liked.  It's called The Gunstringer and it was made by Twisted Pixel.

That was the second game I put on my wishlist after Steel Battalion. I can't wait to try that one.

We used to have a Kinect but after playing The Gunstringer—which you totally need to get because it is a lot of fun—there wasn't anything else wanted to play (and there still isn't), so we decided to sell it while it was still worth something.

I have Super Scribblenauts for the DS and really like it. Every now and then I pull it out and play a level or two. I'll finish it eventually lol.

I really liked that latest Retronauts about Nintendo Power. Loved that magazine.

I'm going to play Gunstringer for sure. I have a few others I'd like to try like Fable: Journey.

I miss gaming magazines.

I wouldn't mind trying out the Kinect but I don't have near enough required space for it to work properly.

I think I may have just enough. We'll see. I downloaded Mars Rover Lander for free the other night. I want to try that one.

Wait there is a Steel Battalion for the Kinect? I think you might have sold me on actually buying a Kinect now. I still regret not buying that giant set on the original X-Box, especially when the local GameStops had them.

Dang it, my local GameStops don't have any of the $30 Kinects. I salute you on some awesome pickups.

Well, you should read Ryan McCaffrey's review at IGN first. It's far from a perfect game. The trailers for the game however were perfect. Feast on this:

I get such chills from watching this. From Software has put out some amazing trailers for their games recently. I want to know who they got to do them.

From the concept and the trailer, this game sounds and looks like winner for best game of the year, but execution wise it sounds like a total mess. I wonder how silly I would look playing this with my arm raised trying to get the pariscope feature to activate.

Even with those faults I would give this game a try.

I know, I can't resist it either despite the reviews. Well, I resisted it for several years. It's too bad because it was such a good idea and I thought Kinect was going to start having serious games on it after this. It didn't. Well, unless you like Dance Central which is supposed to be the best thing for Kinect.

Oh yea, I'm also going to try Kinect Star Wars despite the mediocre reviews. Am I a fool or what.

I figure if you bought a Kinect you might as well give the games a try. I know I'd get Star Wars too. I can see a couple of years down the road people will be buying up Kinect games because of either they're so bad they become hilariously fun, or people will think they're collector's items.

you fool! You don't have to play that Steel Battalion game! You don' thave to prove anything! Save yourself! SAVE YOURSELF?!??!

Also I FOUND A STEEL BATTALION GAME AND CONTROLLER FOR THE ORIGINAL XBOX IN MY AREA! I was so excited till I saw they wanted $100 for both of them. =( I don't have that kind of money right now but interesting how a new kinnect sensor costs $100 as well.

I know, but I just want to boot it up. I was so thrilled by the trailers for it.

I had an opportunity to get one of those Xbox controllers for cheap way back, but I passed. Just too darn big.

I got a Kinect Sensor used at GS for $40.
