Tifa is a neat character. The only other characters I like in FF7 are Cait Sith and the Red Doggy. Tifa is the only human character I liked.
Another video reaction blog to Linda (Vampy) Le's Tifa Lockhart cosplay

My hopes have been answered!
Last year I made a big fuss over the fact that Linda Le had finally cosplayed one of my favorite characters in Final Fantasy VII: Tifa Lockhart. And being a big Tifa Lockhart fan that I was, I was on cloud nine to see how Linda Le (Vampy) was able to perfect her look. For me it was a dream come true to see this when so many other cosplayers haven’t been able to nail Tifa’s look to my own lofty personal standards. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d finally see someone bring Tifa into the real world, complete with Advent Children stylings and look. The attention to detail with the outfit was spot on and Vampy’s look brought my favorite character to life. For a Tifa fan like me it was almost a transcending experience.
I was so taken by seeing Linda Le’s twitter/Instagram photo posts that I had no words at that time to fully covey the emotion I was feeling at that moment. I had to resort to posting a video reaction response that best fit (though gravely underwhelming) my general mood.
For the most part I think it succeeded rather well.
So why would there be another blog posting of this subject? Well if you’ll recall in my first blog about the issue I mentioned along the lines of “Lord help us Tifa fans if Vampy decides to try out Tifa’s “original” outfit.” And as much as I could appreciate the Advent Children look that Tifa had, my first and always love of Tifa will always be remembered by the outfit I knew her for when I first played Final Fantasy VII. I think you all know which outfit I am referring to.
The one that some commentators have said was nothing more than a “microscopic mini skirt and a sports bra” or worse depending on civility. For some this outfit was considered an odd choice for a character to wear in an RPG, let alone in an RPG that seemed to be set in a more modern landscape. But for me it conveyed all I love about short skirts and how Tifa’s character showed wearing such didn’t make you any less in the eyes of others who were more than willing to judge a book by its cover.
Though it was my hope that Linda Le would cosplay as Tifa in her original outfit I hoped that others would not demand of her to dress as such as one of her future projects. From what I can tell she cosplays as character’s she feels like cosplaying as so it didn’t seem she was up for requests. So I myself kept my tongue silent and appreciated her talents and passions for her craft. But the hope still remained. And it would seem that my hopes were answered.
If you once again head to her twitter/instagram accounts you’ll see the images of one of her many latest creations. As much as I’d like to rip/post images of her new look here, I respect her as the talent that she is and instead provide links instead. And yes I had to post a new video response initially given my loss of words to find what I’d missed after being away from my twitter/Instagram accounts for only a week.
But this time I actually thanked her via her twitter account, after finding the right words to say that is. But I wasn’t expecting her to respond being the faceless gamer that I am.
Oh no Linda Le, THANK YOU for making many a Tifa fan’s dream come true, myself included. I know I’ll be first in line to buy spreads of these photos when they become available in her store. Enjoy fellow gamers!
