HACKER: A Tale for the Ages

All of a sudden yesterday, the big climax of this video popped into my brain. We watched this film (or possibly a tape) in my “Computer Literacy” class in junior high. Even at the time, we knew it was terrible. Upon re-watching it now, I can confirm. Please give it a try and see what you think. Maybe you’ll learn a thing or two.

Discussion Questions:

Why does the hacker scurry to clean up his room for his guest, but then put on a bathrobe?
Was the girl’s original plan to actually read all of those books and write a paper in one night?
Why does the ESC key do so much on this computer?
If the medical team had been able to see the I.D. bracelet database’s information in time and it said, “DO NOT USE DEFIBRILLATOR,” wouldn’t they be in the same situation?
Who won the big game?

I get the error occured message when I try to view it, and trying to watch on Youtube didn't help, as I was just taken to my home page.

Probably my computer being wonky, though.

1. I don't remember him putting on the bathrobe, but probably cause I'm tired.

2. Nah, probably just like me, gotta check everywhere you can for those mandatory 8-10 source quotes that agree with the position you decided to take.

3. I don't know much about Apple II (e?)'s, except that I've played on one (my mom was the computer teacher for my middle school, and for some reason they had one)

6. I used to watch cheesy VHS crap about computers all the time, one 90s one in particular that for some reason involved Silver Surfer.
