Today's Gaming. . . in a Rorschach Mood

Went to Jay Street Video Games in Mall. Saw Front Mission 3 for $15, no manual. Buy on PSN instead. Saw Pokemon Stadium for $25 loose. Can get it for $15 online. Would've got it for $20. Not today. Asked for Dynasty Tactics. Salesman said no copies. After hurting him, still no. Left angry.

Went to friend's house to game. He got me Fist of the North Star for NES. Said thanks. I bought Secret of Monkey Island 2 for $2.50 on XBL sale. Downloaded Halo: Reach for free on same.

Played last levels of EDF 2025 with friend. 95 levels is a lot. Restarted with Ranger character. Got to around level 25. Played all on Hard difficulty.

I like Ranger class. Lots of big weapons. Creates lots of destruction. Down side is slow movement. No jet pack. Learned to dive-roll. Faster.

Key strategy is picking right weapons for levels: rapid-fire rifle or shotgun for ground insects, sniper or rocket weapon for flying insects and robots. Lots of variety in those weapons. Some are perfect for certain enemies. Some are downright useless.

Picking up weapon and armor drops also important. Spent every spare moment in battle getting them. Tedious but vital to build defense and increase arsenal of weapons.

Friendly fire in co-op very annoying, especially when the rockets fly. Gotta communicate. Not my strong suit. Left mildly bitter. Stopped punk abusing dog. Taught him what it feels like. Felt better.

Got home and played Mii Plaza games. Only got one Mii this time. Forgot to carry system into mall this morning. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Taken at face value: I guess the title should've been, "Today's Gaming. . . as if I was Rorchach.", because no saleman or kid was hurt in the course of my game day.

Taken as comedy: When I'm in a Rorchach mood, it's time to enact swift and brutal justice to the punks of this world. Law suit? Ha! I'm too smart for that.

That's cool. Sometimes I put something down and later it keeps bugging me like maybe Rorschach wouldn't have bothered teaching a kid a lesson, but a young adult for sure. I mean Rorschach's not such a bad guy. He just hates crime and is willing to go to any lengths to punish it. A kid though. I think he'd find the parents and punish them.

EDF 2025 is a good game but yeah, I hate friendly fire. Wish it could be turned off. I also hate the webbing shooter spiders.

Friendly fire is especially bad when two crazy people are shooting 30 rockets each at a time at targets that are lliterally everywhere.

The Retiarius manage to shoot a thread at you through buildings without line of sight. Luckily I found a rocket launcher that does the same. Eat that web slinger!

I had just bought the first one the week before for $10, but I got the second one for the $2. And if you hurt that kitty, Rorschach is going to find you. Ha ha!

It is such a cool bonus when you can get your hands on an NES cart and box. I used to toss mine, which looking back is crazy. I need to get back into walking around the mall's and GameStop's with my 3DS. I need to finish off a couple of Mii games too.

I'm so into it, I got really upset today when I realized I didn't turn my 3DS on in the morning. No Mii's tonight, waaaa! Yesterday though I got someone from California adding another zone. I think that's really neat. Also I usually get this one Mii everyday and I keep wondering who it is.

Hey that my favorite part of the Mii thing as well. I like checking if I got someone from a different state or country. So far only Japan, but here's to hoping I add more soon.

I got one from the north part of Japan and three states in the US. It's fun to see that. I have to carry it everywhere with me now. Got to remember to turn it on though. Been forgetting about that last few days.
