What are you going to be for Halloween?

I'm going to be (that is if I didn't have to work and if I was one year into my new work out regimen that I'm starting soon) Gene from God Hand. More speficially, his final battle version which has him with both the god and devil hands. That means a right arm brace and a left arm sleave tattoo. Oh yeah!

Azel with the Demon Hand.                    Gene with the God Hand brace.

God Hand was a Clover Studios fighting game that is to me a proto-Platinum Games game. Some of the people at Clover started Platinum and you can see all the craziness in God Hand turned up even higher in Platinum games.

The main antagonists left to right: Azel, Belze, fat elvis, Shannon.

I think of Gene as the male Bayonetta. He's brash, he's tough, and he doesn't take any sh*t from demons like head demon Belze, the cigar chewing fat Elvis, Shannon who turns men into poodles, and a luchador gorilla, just to name a few. He'll punch, or in Shannon's case spank, their asses into orbit, literally.

One of his one-liners that I used just the other day is "You can wax-on, wax-off all you want, but I'm still going to kick your ass". I'll have to memorize the rest of them to play the character to the full.

There's also the silly theme song, which would be wise to know in full, because it's great and describes the game really well.

All I need now is someone to play Gene's girlfriend Oliva. She's tough in her own way even though she does get captured by Azel late in the game.

Good ol' Clover studios. Glad they've survived in the form of Platinum.

As for me, I'll be dressed as a pissed off car owner.

We all should be pissed off car owners. A Jeep Wrangler gets 17 MPG city. What? Is this 1985 or something? No car these days should get under 30 anywhere.

You're not even going to don a costume hoodie like this Thor one?

I wore my Minion shirt at work and will wear it when giving kids candy tonight, so I guess I'm a Minion (you know, the little yellow guys from Despecable Me).

I remember God Hand.  I don't remember the characters, though.  Olivia seems cool.  The Legend of Korra game kind of reminds me of God Hand.  I just got done reviewing it, and it was made by Platinum.

I love the minions in Despicable Me. Just remember you can get a costume hoodie of just about anything including minions.

A little boy came to the door dressed in a Spiderman costume and he couldn't have been more than 3.  When he saw my shirt, he said, "There an onion on you shirt!"  So cute.

I'll be a Guardian for a little while then change into a Vault Hunter, yeah not going out. lol  My friend may come over to watch scary movies later but otherwise keeping it chill and easy.

I played God Hand for the first time when I got it from PSN. My first impression was they must have been fans of Fist of the North Star. Despite looking a little dated I really apretiate the ambition of this game. Both in the quirky style and the very unique skills system.

There's nothing more "chill and easy" than a costume hoodie. I would suggest this Wolverine one.

those are cool hoodies.  I'm digging the Diablo themed hoodies myself.

Well, there are hoodies and then there are "costume hoodies". Costume hoodies go a little farther than just a design on the front. Like this Optimus Prime one.

I think the last Halloween party I went to was back in '99 or around that time. My band played and we dressed up as the primary colors. I was red. <sigh> Not too much social fun for me since then.

Since I hand out candy and camp out in front of the TV, I wear a Cowboys jersey and call it a night. This year I wore my Troy Aikman bad luck blues jersey.

Sadly, I was in London during Halloween, which except for some people dressed in the stuff, there's wasn't anything resembling the atmosphere. However, if count it as horror, I had to sit through the nightmare that was Mamma Mia! Do you have a costume of Mamma Mia! hater?

Well no, but while in London you could've impressed some Brit-bros with this Dalek costume hoodie.
