Completing Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I'm almost done with the main game of Borderlands The Pre-Sequel. I've only got a few more achievements to chase before the first major DLC hits on the 14th. I can't play more today though because my car is in the shop and my 360 is at my friend's place. With a train ride and a 2 mile walk, I can get there, but I overslept and now it's not worth the trip. I'll have to wait until next Sunday.

                                                           Nisha, The Lawbringer

Right now I'm on the last of the character-related achievements playing as the Lawbringer. Her Action Skill allows her to shoot really fast with perfect accuracy and, if you use a pistol, gives you a damage boost. The achievement is for getting ten kills while the Action Skill is running. To do this you have to increase the time the Action Skill lasts by adding skill points to certain skills in the tree. This means you have to spend time and level up. I'm at level 11 and I still haven't gotten ten kills, but I've gotten close. It's pretty cool to unload on a group of enemy and watch them all drop really quickly.

After that I will pick up my level 50 Fragtrap again and go for the Challenge-related achievement. You have to get at least level 1 on all the weapon related challenges. This is deceptive because some of the challenges only unlock once you've hit level 5 on all other related challenges. Most, but not all, of the weapons have these like the shotgun and rocket launcher. This will probably mean focusing on certain types of kills like direct hits with the rocket launcher or long range kils with the shotgun. It could be fun though. Being forced to fight a certain way sometimes creates interesting gameplay.

Then there are a few not-so-secret achievements because I looked them up. Most of them are for finishing certain optional missions, but some of them are for doing missions with special conditions. Most of them I got without looking them up, but with only two left and unsure what they were, I looked them up. It would have been seriously impossible to have guessed some of these. I would've gotten them by accident maybe, but just maybe.

So I think I can get 100% on this game. I'm hoping to have some time before the Dec 14th DLC to either start Tales of Borderlands or get back to Resident Evil 4. My friend is already talking about returning to B2 or B1 and maybe do a speed run of all three games. I don't know if I'll go for that. Maybe though.

That Nisha lady has a cool hat.  Only thing I can tell you about Borderlands is that a robot was in Poker Night 2 from Borderlands.  And there's a weird bartender lady, too.  TellTale is making a Borderlands point and click adventure.  And that's all I know!

Oh yea, I forgot about the Poker Night game. It had Claptrap and Moxxi. I should go play that. I'll probably play the Telltale Borderlands game. It came out last week. I've heard it's good.

I really like the cartoony look of the Borderlands games. The character designs are excellent as well.

I did not know Tales from the Borderlands was out already, gonna have to get that. I finished the first play through with Nisha and I'm about 2/3 of the way through with Athena. I really want to get back into it, been slogging away at Destiny and with the new dlc for it dropping tommarrow not sure when I will get back to the Borderlands.

The first chapter is out for Tales from The Borderlands. I guess there'll be four chapters.

That Destiny DLC looks HOT! I have a friend at work who's obsessed with the game. I find out everything from him, but I'd like to try it myself sometime. I'm not much of an MMO player though.

The cool thing about Destiny is that you can still do a lot of stuff solo. Although, the raids are damn near impossible to do solo, so you gotta finds some help. This is only the second MMO that I have played and I have to say I have met more cool people than asshats, its been a fun experience overall.

If I could get my regular gaming buddy into it, then I'd try it.

I respect these games, but I just can't get into shooters anymore.  But I am hopefully awaiting Half Life 3, like a good old fool.

I surprise myself looking back and seeing how many shooters I've played. It's probably more the influence of my gaming buddy than my own interests since I usually go for story in games and favor RPGs and Strategy games over action ones. The lure of co-op is strong though. I really love that and it just so happens there's a lot of co-op in shooters these days.

that's true.  I enjoy co-op too.  but now that my brother lives in maryland and we live in arizona, I don't have anybody to co-op with anymore.

That sucks, but sometimes I wish I didn't have the pressure to play whatever my friend is playing.

You're certainly getting your mileage out of that game. I love how we all have games that we're so passionate about.

I get so nervous thinking about all the other games I want to play while burried to my neck in Borderlands. I wish games didn't try to monopolize ALL your time. I get the feeling that as soon as I finish the main game, Gearbox has DLC ready to go to keep me there. LET ME HAVE A BREAK DARNIT!!! Still, it's fun.

what's with post apoloalypic settings and belly shirts as of late in media? First Revolution, then the 100 and now in this game. Am I missing something in that belly shirts are cool/sexy the "in" thing?

Apparently Madonna and the movie Flashdance started the crop top thing and it's been super popular ever since. Yea, I read the wiki page on it.
