That's a lot of regrets. A lot of these games are really great and they will still be great no matter when you play them next year or the year after.
2014, It's A Wrap: The Many Regrets

Who gee! What did I play this year. So many games! I'll stick to what just came out this year and split this up into three parts: Regrets, Bought but Forgot, and Played. It'll all wind up with the last entry being my Game of the Year, or Goaty as I like to say it (yes I know it's actually GOTY).
Regrets (didn't play but wanted to):
Banner Saga: Lucky me it's coming to Vita in 2015 when and where I'll likely play it.
Broken Age, Chapter 1: Maybe it'll come to some console. I may break my rule and go PC in 2015 though.
Halo: Spartan Assault: Finally it came out on Xbox 360, but since reviews weren't great I've been waiting for a $5 or free price point. I did secure it for free on Xbox One with Games With Gold, whenever I pick up the console.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze: I really wanted a Wii-U this year, but there are still not enough reasons for me to get one. This game was one of them.
South Park Stick of Truth: Heard many good things about this and played the demo. It seems like it should be a downloadable game at a downloadable price but it was a full price game, and that kept me away. I will pick it up on a sale for sure in the future though.
Dark Souls II: As a glutton for punishment, I wanted to drive myself into a deep dispair playing this. I guess my better sense is beginning to win out and I didn't get to it.
Luftrausers: Love the art style, though it resembles that used by Nazi infected Germany. Battles at sea intrigue me as well. I think I'll play this on Vita someday.
Heathstone: Heroes of Warcraft: I love card battle games, but have a policy of keeping games off my PC so I can get things done. That may change in 2015.
Civilization Revolution 2: I almost bought an iPad just to play this game, and I might still, but the expense made me go cry in a corner and wish I could play this. Maybe it'll get ported to console in 2015.
Sacred 3: This series turned more towards an action RPG like Diablo and that hits my sexy sensitive spot. I'm on this like a dog on a leg when it goes on sale.
Risen 3: Titan Lords: I was almost ready to buy this day-one, but I've had such bad luck with the difficulty of the previous two games, that I resisted. I love me some pirates! Will grab this on sale too sometime.
Defense Grid 2: Love the tower defense games and this is one of the best. Too bad it's only on next gen systems and I don't have one yet. May be my first purchase when I get there.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor: I can't wait to be some orc's bitch and then get sweet, sweet revenge, and lop that sucker's head clean off.
Pier Solar HD: Love the old school RPGs of SNES days. Need to play this badly.
Bayonetta 2: My third reason to have a Wii-U. Not quite enough to make me pull the trigger, but getting closer. I was surprised to see critics praise this so much with a 91 on Metacritic right now.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection: When I heard you could create playlists of all the levels of all four Halo games, I really got excited. I'd love to do that co-op. I just need a Xbox One for myself and one for my out of work friend. $800 is a bit much for that experience right now.
Dragon Age: Inquisition: I still haven't played this series other than demos yet, but I know I'd love it. I hope there's time to get to this soon.
Far Cry 4: I guess it's too much to hope a family member will get this for me at Christmas. Almost nobody in my family has ever heard me even say the words "video game". Shhhh, it's a secret.
Rollers of the Realm: Really want to play this RPG/Pinball hybrid. I just played the NES game Pinball Quest earlier this year. I love the RPG/Puzzle hybrid series Puzzle Quest, so why not this too?
Tales From the Borderlands: I may yet get to this before Jan 1. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay in these TellTale games, but I have to see more Borderlands story telling. I've heard this links in interesting ways to the DLC for The Pre-Seqeul as well.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris: I loved the previous isometric view puzzle adventure game in this series (name I forget). So I want to play this for sure.
Suikoden II: Can't wait to download this. Probably get to it early in 2015.
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse: I love the graphics of this series and you can't go wrong with Wayforward. Another reason to have a Wii-U. I'm feeling the pull quite hard now.
AND NOW FOR THE BIGGEST REGRET OF 2014!
Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition. I am a horse in front of a basket of apples just chomping at the bit in anticipation. MUST HAVE GAME!!!
