I Am The Wizard Specules! Keeper of the Golden Goblin!

If anybody has seen the pilot episode of Korgoth of Barbaria on Adult Swim, then you know who Specules is. I chose that name for my Diablo III wizard character and did his voice all day long. No, I never get tired of doing silly voices. Does Will Sasso ever get tired of spitting lemons out of his mouth? Of course not. Here's the third part that featured Specules.

My favorite cartoon that never got made.

So as Specules, I teamed up with a barbarian warrior, my friend Mark, and played Diablo III co-op all day. Yes it was back and forth with the, "you're a big dumb ape." and, "You better watch yourself wizard, or I might start taking this personal." comments all day long. At the same time, we were checking the scores of the football games and pausing Diablo III for fourth quarter action: Dallas gets robbed by a shaky call, and Peyton Manning still can't get it done in the playoffs. What a day.

Your character changes appearance with new equipment and you can design your banner.

I'm at level 25 now and Mark's barbarian is 31. We're still playing through on easy difficulty and it's pretty easy. We're somewhere in Act 3 or 4, I lost track. I'm beginning to check loot just like I did in Borderlands. I'm favoring the highest rarity items and then choosing my favorite boosts within those groups. I have almost all Rare and Legendary items now, and I've just got to the point where you can slot items with gems. It's super fun.

I'm looking forward to continuing tomorrow and possibly finishing the story.

As a Dallas fan, I have to swallow that it might be the right call, but Jesus Christ do I hate that stupid rule, whether it's on Megatron or Optimus Dez. Frankly, I want any NFL rule that is that technical and requires that much interpretation gone. The team who lives by the questionable ruling on the field dies by it I guess. Too, we probably should have just trusted Murray to eat some clock and get the 2 yards needed. Despite that call, Packers were the better team. Some of Dallas's play calling was at least as troublesome as that reversal and our defense missed a lot of easy tackles.

Sorry I didn't comment on anything else, but I never played Diablo III and was kind of in and out watching the video while my mind drifts to the work I need to do this year. lol

the thing is, the NFL is like real life:  there isn't always a right or wrong answer, and there's only opinion and choice.  They'll never eliminate that from the game or from real life, and that's the way it is.

The way I see it, if you live by the ref, you die by the ref.  They won last week because of a controversial call, and this week they might have lost because of it.  Honestly, I don't care if it was a catch, because I believe Greenbay would have won either way.  There was a lot of time left on the clock, and Dallas would have only been up by 3 points.  With the way Greenbay was manhandling Dallas's defense at that point, they would have scored either another touchdown or taken it to overtime.  A lot of people fail to recognize that fact.

I feel like you didn't read my comment past a certain point. I wasn't arguing that Dallas should have won. They had opportunities they blew. I just didn't like that particular call. Take your Eagles glasses off, Snee. lol

I did read your entire comment.  I guess I wasn't really arguing with you, but the legions of people I've seen complaining about this on the internet since it happened.  I just get sick of the idea that you can eliminate opinion and judgement calls from NFL referring... or real life.

your comment is definitely more measured than other's I've read, I guess I just blew up more at other people than at you, and I took that out on you.  Sorry!

Haha it's all good. I was just ribbing you with the "take your Eagles" glasses off comment.

As per the interpreting of calls, I still think plays like that happening with so little time in the game should be left alone, but partly that's just me speaking as a fan of the sport as an entertainment form. Philosophically, I also agree that you can't take the gray areas out of life, but I would prefer to reduce them as much as possible. Ah well. We just disagree on gray areas, which is kind of like a gray area in itself. Laughing

Sorry if my own reply came across a little more snarky than I meant it. Go Pack Go anyway. I can't complain, as Cowboys are my #1, followed by GB at 2 and Seahawks at 3, so at this point I'm just rooting for the NFC basically. lol

Yeah Greenbay is the team I want to see win the superbowl.

I hate when a game is decided by a ref call. That leaves a bad taste in mouth no matter who benefits by it.

Peppers' strip of Murray, that tipped field goal etc. were also deciding factors. I hate it too, but had opportunities not to let it get down to that. Still hate that rule though. God I hope Dallas can keep most of what they have and build on defense though.

Diablo II is fun stuff.  Gonna jump back in when the UEE gets down to around 20 bucks.

I'm watching for that too. U.E.E. is mine at $20.

It seems like your blazing through Diablo III. My brother and me are still on Act I lol. It's kind of hard to play for significant amounts of time when there's a two year old around. We're playing it on hard and haven't run into any major problems yet. You just gotta be careful when entering new areas.

I noticed a lot of different difficulty levels. I'm tempted to bump it up but I know my co-op friend wouldn't be into it. It will get difficult though, maybe after the third playthrough on Inferno mode.

They only did a pilot. The series never got made. It was packaged in with a DVD box set of Adult Swim stuff along with other pilots of shows that never got made. I wanted that box set.
