I remembe when I reached 50,000 Achievement Points! I managed to get all the achievements in a few games like Pac-Man CE and Pac-Man: CE DX, Banjo-Tooie, Sam & Max, Dig Dug, and a Doritos free game that had dinosaurs in it. I did get a lot of achievements in games like Soul Calibur 4 and 5, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and Portal 2.

I just passed 50k gamer score on Xbox live. Technically, I have about 3k more than this, but that 3k was on my old gamertag. Still, 50k is a nice number that makes me want to reminisce about my favorite achievements going back all the way to 2007.
1. The One Free Bullet (Orange Box) – Beat Episode One firing exactly one bullet. Grenade, crowbar, rocket, and Gravgun kills are okay! – 40. I loved this achievement because it did exactly what achievements should, which is encourage you to play the game in a different way. This achievement turned me on to the usefulness and versatility of the Gravgun. It also added a lot of tension to the game and made you innovate. Best chievo ever!
2. Walking Death (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) – Beat the game on Hard Difficulty – 50. This was the final achievement to get me a perfect 1000 in this game. The last boss was Weapon XI (Deadpool) and he’s a total pain. I cheered and jumped up and down in excitement after the long battle with him; probably the best I’ve felt finishing a game.
3. Henry VIII (Fable III) – You’re Henry the Eighth you are, you are. Well, of course you’re not, but a good try nonetheless. – 10. In this achievement you had to get married 6 times and kill two of them, just like Henry VIII. I vividly remember taking my sixth husband (I was playing a female) to the Dweller Camp located in the wintry Mistpeak Mts. On the very edge of the romantic hot tub-like hot spring, I let him have it with my giant hammer. He flew head over heels into the steaming water. The chievo popped up and I had a great laugh.
4. Complete the game to 100% (Lego Star Wars TCS) – 100. It took me about 60 hours to do everything in this, The Complete Saga edition, which is two games in one: Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and The Original Trilogy. Probably the most difficult part was the lava levels where you have to jump across sinking platforms and grab a mini-kit before time runs out.
5. Confiscator (Crackdown) – Impound all flagged vehicles and store them in the Agency Garage – 40. My favorite occupation in Crackdown was stealing cars for the Agency. I’d have to search all over the tri-city area for certain vehicles, chase them to a stop, pull the driver out, and drive away without getting the car destroyed by pursuing gang members. So much fun!
6. Who Wants to Live Forever (The Cave): Got everyone out of the Cave without dying once – 40. This is very tricky. It’s very easy to die by accident in this game: you can make a wrong jump, slip off a ladder, or time a defensive move incorrectly amongst many other pitfalls. There are seven characters, each of which you have to take through the whole game without dying. I had The Knight on my final run. I saved him for last since he seemed the most difficult. I managed to do it on one try though, which surprised and thrilled me.
7. Sploded! (Pinball FX2) - You Sploded 100 times on the Ms. Splosion Man table. – 5. This is a silly one like the next one. When you get this, the table goes crazy with explosive graphics and Ms. Splosion Man is screaming her head off. I couldn’t help laughing.
8. Beat Golden Poo Snake (Blue Dragon): You defeated the rare monster Golden Poo Snake – 30. These are like the humorous versions of the slimes in Dragon Quest. They appear randomly at certain locations in the world, and you need special items to beat them because they run from you. There are harder achievements to get in this game, this one just made me laugh.
9. Idiot (Risen) – Fell to death 3 times – 10. This one just summarized my experience with this series that I found really difficult. I got so frustrated, I started making really simple mistakes. I just had to laugh when this popped up.
10. Elementalist (Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel): Had an enemy frozen, corroded, ignited and electrocuted at the same time – 20. This is pretty tricky, but it can be done on a boss that takes a lot of damage. You just have to switch weapons quickly or combine grenades and weapons with different elemental effects. Getting three is easy, four more difficult. The elemental effects are really colorful and exciting to look at and going for this really made me pay attention to them.
Onward! Luckily achievements carry over to Xbox One and so, it’s possible I’ll get to 100k sometime in the future. I don’t think it’ll be soon though. It’ll probably be at the end of the current generation.
