Ah man, I just realized, I haven't been thinking of the Delta Force movies, I've been thinking of the Missing in Action films. Now those you have to watch to complete the experience!
My Monday in the Clutches of Entertainment

First up today was Super Mario RPG (Wii virtual console). I played this up unitl the first major boss, Mack, and beat him. I really love this game. I almost played it all day, but I decided I'd play up until a boss every weekend for a while. I guess it's so I can fit in some 360 gaming with Mark. I kind of like the idea of playing a game just up to a major boss and then doing something else. It breaks up the game into nice chunks that give you some time to think about it afterwards.
This game's battle system is turn-based but you can do some real-time actions like pressing a button a the right time to block or make your attack stronger. I love all the dialog in this game and all the characters. The first character you team up with is Mallow, which was funny because I had looked up Mallow's history a few months ago. He's a prince of this sky kingdom where everyone is a cloud, but he grew up with toads, so he thinks he's a toad. He has weather related special attacks and I used his lighting storm to damage multiple enemies at once as often as I could. I'm going to really love playing this game every weekend for a while.
Then Mark and I watched The Delta Force 2 action movie, staring Chuck Norris. This was a much better film than the first one. Maybe they had a bigger budget or a better director, I don't know, but everything was very well shot and there was a great variety of stunts and lots of Chuck Norris's hand-to-hand fighting. This one exploited another hot topic of the 80s, the drug trade between North and South America. The acting was much better in this sequel. The bad guy was excellent. Things blew up real good near the end of the film and I actually called it seconds before it started. That's not to say this movie was overly predictable, it wasn't (at least, as much as an action movie can be unpredictable). I felt the movie had good drama and pacing. I was pretty interested in it the whole time and only made wise-cracks a few times (the first movie was a full on MST3K laugh fest). The frequently used one-liner in the movie was, "always the hard way" deliverd by Chuck Norris's commander. My friend Mark liked the first movie better (the most used one-liner there was "I'll see you when I see you") for it's shlockiness and more b-movie quality, but I think this sequel is a much better film.
3. Diablo III (Xbox 360). I leveled my Monk up to level 43. Along the way I was trying to find more dyes for a challenge. I was also looking into other challenges such as the campaign ones that require you find every dungeon and every lore book in every Act of the game. I just wrote down the ones I didn't have yet for memory and started scouring the world for these things. It's a fun game that never really gets boring.
Always the hard way Pixlbits, just like Chuck Norris.
