PixlBit

At this point I'm pretty sure everybody is completely sick of hearing about SOPA and PIPA. I know I am. But still, I wanted to talk a little bit about the blackout protest many sites participated in a couple days ago. For starters, I'd like to applaud the efforts of all of the individual sites out there that were a part of the protest. If PixlBit were any bigger, I'd have gladly participated, but we're not in a position where we could afford to be offline for a day. While I'm fully aware of the absolutely horrific side effects these bills could have on the Internet, I'm not sure any of it was truly tangible until Wednesday's blackout.

Yup, you've got those features now. They've both been a long time coming, but they're finally here. I don't really have much else to say about it right now, I'm just glad to be done with both.

I know this may be tough to hear for some of you, but it's the truth. With the release of Hyrule Historia and the revelation of the official timeline, a whole new argument seems to be opening up that people are horribly invested in. After years of speculation, those who have their own theories are infuriated by the truth of the timeline and are looking to dispute it over every little thing that doesn't mesh together perfectly. Truthfully and honestly, you need to not care about something so trivial and unimportant. If Nintendo really actually cared, I'd say you could too, but they don't, so you shouldn't either.

Gamers are a diverse group - as such their musical preferences tend to fall across the board. Speaking only for myself, I'm heavily invested in the rock and metal genres and many of their associated subgenres. I also love game music, which I think is a pretty universal thing amongst most gamers. I'm usually on the hunt for game music done in heavy metal style because I love the energy and intensity of it.

So last night I created a pseudo-forum for PixlBit. Essentially any article or blog posted to the site that can be commented on will show up in the monster forum. Visit http://www.pixlbit.com/comments to check it out, or click More Comments under one of the side bar comment widgets. If nothing else, you'll be able to step back through any comment threads you missed, which has got to be worth something.

Running a game site always proves interesting (and stressful) and people typically ask me questions about it IRL. So anyway, I figure I'll open the same channel here on PixlBit thanks to our fancy new blogs. Whether you want to know something about the industry, the site, our policies, my gaming habits, whatever, let me know, I'll be glad to answer.
