This kind of sounds like Organ Trail. Which was a zombie apocalpyse version of The Oregon Trail. That was a fun game. It had a lot of dark humor too.

I watched Delta Force a little ways back. I love those action movies of the 80s. I must have seen The Terminator and Rambo like a thousand times lol. It's funny how those kinds of movies influenced games. Metroid was heavily influenced by the Alien films.

Contra III is great, I've come to trust WayForward. They've put out a lot of great games. Even poured some new life into Double Dragon. Which is a series I'm rather fond of despite quite a few mediocre titles over the years.

It's similar in a lot of ways to the early games. It's was basically a tribute to celebrate Contra's 20th anniversary. Don't forget about being shirtless Joe. That's extremely important when fighting legions of alien scum.

The thing is I already own it on NES, and there's so many other games I want. Plus I still need to buy volumes 2 and 3 of the cartoon. I'll probably get it eventually during a Steam sale or something though.

Yeah. I played it a lot. I'll still be doing the Challenge Mode for a while. I stuck with Normal. Stage 5 was pretty rough. Those robots that fly around shooting heat seeking missles and jumping fish were a pain. So I can defintely understand that. I love the music for Contra games. It's basically 80's metal.

I'm glad to hear your enjoying that Wii U, Sonic. It's always so exciting getting a new console. What games are on that Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded? I have one of those on PS2, but don't know which one.

Thanks for the songs Alex. I really liked Arcade Fire and Footsteps in the Dark. I'm definitely going to check out some more of The Isley Brothers. I think the only song by them that I really know is Who's That Lady lol.

I wouldn't worry about that so much Philip. You did beat the dude after all. I didn't have much trouble once I figured out the pattern. Although the first time I fought him I died rather quickly because I only had one life left lol. I'll still be playing the Challenge Mode for a bit trying to unlock all the characters. I noticed the emulation thing right away. The sound is way off. Which is unfortunate, but it's still a cool little bonus.

I wish they would make more Contra games like this too. There was Contra Rebirth on Wii, but I got rid of my Wii. I do hope you like Hard Corps. Uprising. It's kind of similar to this one except with an anime like style. You can level up your characters and do a lot of fancy crap too. Like triple jumping and dashing mid-air.

Me too man. Contra III is really good. I've never actually beaten that game on hard and seen the ending though. It's insane lol. Leveling up weapons helps out tremendously in this game. It's kind of ridiculous how powerful they are in comparison to your default gun. I probably wouldn't have been able to beat it without that. Thanks for stopping by!
