April Fools '10 - Scribblenauts Review

Posted on 04/01/2010 at 09:34 PM | Filed Under Feature

The particular reason I chose Scribblenauts is because I loathe the game, particularly for the hype it had compared to what it delivered, and if you've been following since I started, you'd have seen I wrote a four-part editorial about how the game really didn't seem like anything special, despite the hype.

So, given my established character, this is not a review I'd normally write. ;)

Cha-ching!

It should be noted we're not adverse to posting reviews far in advance, either.

You should probably email either Nick or I, but a pre-order over a month in advance guarantees that no one will be able to out-bid you.

It's a brief review, but I think it gets the point across. I'm pretty sure Eidos likes it, at any rate.

This is the first review written in light of our new policy. I think things went very well.

I have to say this is great, revolutionary news. I can't recall seeing anyone go public about paid-off reviews, so I really think we're the first to corner the market. This just means PR companies won't have to pay for weekend getaways and massive events, and can just put their money toward a better review. It'll save everyone in the process quite a bit of time, and I'm certain readers will love our new, altered content.

GameStop now has Microsoft-licensed USB flash drives available to preorder. The good news? This update doesn't require their expensive drives, unlike the 360 HDDs.

You know what? You're right. I just never thought of it that way.
