NBA Live 06 doesn't tell you anything about the controls. I think you have to hold the shoot button down and release it at just the right time to get the shot to work. I kept tapping the button and missed every time, even after I maxed my players stats in the creator mode. I was in no mood to fiddle with it. I handed it off to Mark and he got it pretty quickly and won a bunch of games and achievements. I could go back to it, but then I'm not much of a sports video game player anyway. I like worlds to explore.

Black is great! I was just watching my friend Mark play Stuart Black's (lead designer on Black) next game, Bodycount, and it feels very similar to Black. I'm going to try it pretty soon myself.

I'm usually a year behind with system purchases until this gen when I'm now 2 years behind and growing. I've been keeping up with handhelds though. The $200 price point makes that easier for me.

I only list the games I actually played that very year. I think I was a Clover fan after Viewtiful Joe and then jumped on their next two games, Okami and God Hand. Some of those guys became Platinum and look at them now. Big big big.

I forgot about the HD version of Okami. I might have to do that once I finish it. I got about 2/3 the way through before something made me stop. Gonna play it again for sure though.

Still pining for Crackdown coming next year, but I heard of something else too for 3DS that I forget at the moment. Was it another Etrian Odyssey? Another Fire Emblem? Something RPG for sure.

Darn! I forgot to mention the release of Wii and PS3. The Wii was hard to get for like over a year, I think I finally got one in 2008. I got a PS3 in 2007 when the price finally got to $400.

I thought a lot about Dr. Who after I posted and realized that he manages to show up on Earth quite a lot, sometimes in different time periods. However there are usually aliens involved and that saves it for me.

He probably trained an Ewok after the ending of Return of the Jedi and the Ewok turned. I swear I saw fur sticking ouf of that dark mask in the trailer. 

All these Nintendo things never come down in price. So annoying.
