I really hope you guys check out El Shaddai. We already recorded our first episode for that game it's probably the best podcast we've done so far. Richard was the perfect person to have on for that episode.

Nah I know what you're talking about. Somehow I'm perfectly comfortable playing games on my phone in public, but my 3DS just feels like something I should keep hidden. I don't know why that is, but I imagine it's just the result of having the idea that games are for kids drilled into our heads all our lives. Even now when designers are very actively creating games with adults in mind, it's still got some sort of stigma attached to it.

I was rocking out to that in the car last night driving home from work actually. Someone really loves their Queen. The entire Opera set works so well together. The first track sounds like someone who loves them some Phantom of the Opera, and the last one is just. WOW. 

These are valid points, but I think the free market will sort all this out in time. I also think the kickstarter thing is mostly a fad. Once reality kicks in, I don't think we'll see multi-million dollar projects get funded on it anymore.

Yeah I've seen some of the garbage you deal with on Twitter. I didn't get a chance to discuss everything I wanted to in this piece, but I do feel that some forms of Misogyny do need to be aggressively perused and stopped, but when something is a grey area like this, it's much more effective to have rational discussion about it. I have zero sympathy for people who are sexually harassing others or using hate slurs. That's an entirely different thing.

From what I understand, she's an extremely sexual / titillating character. Some people find this offensive, and as far as I'm concerned, that's within their rights. To an extent I agree with them. Dragon's Crown isn't a game I'd play in front of my kids, which makes me kinda sad. I the other hand, being offended does not grant one instant license to be a judgmental jerk to people who aren't, or who find it entertaining. 

Yeah, I kinda goofed there and misunderstood the problem, but it did become an interesting discussion even if it wasn't about Faith exclusively. 

The games aren't for everybody, that's for sure, but as far as the music goes, it's always amazing. That's Yuzo Koshiro for you.

Hmmmm... Maybe we should do a month of 8 bit music at some point :D
