Thank you - Glad you enjoyed the feature! I am also a big fan of BLEAK ENB, and I never made that connection - it does give it a very Dark Souls feel. I'm always on the lookout for cool mods, and now this ongoing feature gives me even more of a reason :)

Good question! I'd want to stray from something far from human, so either Kirby or (even though its release is in limbo) Trico from The Last Guardian. Simply riding on a giant dog/eagle hybrid's back through the sky could make for a pretty bad ass day!

Lately, I've still been playing State of Decay and Secret of Mana. State of Decay is really impressive, especially considering it's an indie title given the scope of it.
There are tons of amazing mods for Skyrim - lately, the 'Frostfall' mod in particular has caught my eye. If you don't mind, which graphics mods in particular are you running? What do you think of them?
As a huge fan of Skyrim, I really hope this lives up to the scope and grandeur that game established - if they can match that immersion, wandering all of Tamriel online will be one hell of an experience!
I loved that they included the Dream Land Trilogy, Kirby's Adventure, Super Star, and Crystal Shards. That being said, I was disappointed that they didn't include any of the side games; one of the reasons the Kirby franchise is great is that it has this really solid foundation of great platformers, and then they'll experiment with really awesome titles like Kirby's Dream Course and Canvas Curse. Since this was the 20th Anniversary Collection of one of Nintendo's most beloved characters, I don't see why they couldn't have included those games (which in my opinion, and some of Kirby's best and most definitive games). In the best of all possible scenarios, I think a Collector's Edition Wii/Ds game bundle would have kicked ass!
Great list man! As you might have guessed from my avatar, I am a huge Kirby fan (Kirby's Dream Course is still my favorite game of all time) and I really enjoyed this blog. I agree it is a shame that Kirby's Dreamland 3 is sadly overlooked because of when it was released, it is a great game in it's own right (especially when you go for 100% completion!) Here is a personal favorite of mine from that game - Long live the pink puffball in all of his quirky, genre-fearless awesomeness!
I'm sorry for your loss, bud; your grandmother was a very talented lady! That landscape she painted in particular is beautiful; and there is definitely credibility to the notion of "inheriting" talents and cognitive abilities that are passed down genetically. It's something science is only now starting to explore, and it's so fascinating!
State of Decay, which I'm still playing through - I'd give it high 7's to an 8; it's a zombie apocalypse game that focuses on your group's physical and emotion stability and safety more than shooting up the undead, which means they got it right.
