Like I said, I don't consider the game outright Horror, but it does induce dread and opression (i'm using the word a lot aren't I?). I was quite panicky whenever I had an encounter with the giant spider.

I miss the site too :(
The game doesn't take many space just so you know.
Actually, I think this is very spoiler free. The closest to spoiler would be the giant spider, but even that one was revealed on the trailers. Much of what would be spoiler is the progression through the game, but I didn't mention that.
And yes, I enjoyed it greatly. Not perfect, but a good experience overall.
Like Blake, I got the PC version of the Humble Indie bundle. Haven't started it, but it looks sweet and i'm fine with missinf the extra on the Wii U version.
Never owned Diddy Kong Racing, but I played it plenty of times on the N64 and DS to really enjoy it.
Sucks to hear that about Plus10, but glad to see the other things working fine for you.
I've heard of this theory before around tv tropes. Haven't played MM, but since i'm familiar with the timeline, I think it makes sence.
I still haven't beaten the first mission, but so far, it's an excellent game. Like you mentioned, I love the ways you can beat a goal and how to get there, and also how it makes you creative on the ways you can dispatch enemies or avoid them. It's an unorthodox choice for Octoberween, but then again, the game i'm about to blog isn't very Halloween-esque...
I did have Jak & Daxter as a magical moment in my life, but it wasn't with the first game but with the third.
I didn't have a PS2, but my cousins did and Gran Turismo 3 was one of the games they had. Good times with that.
Damm, Serious Sam looks hectic!
My choice for game of 2001 has got to be the first Halo. Even to this day I'm not tired of playing it.
