Hyrule Warriors

Yeah, they have teamed up with Sega (F-Zero GX), Namco (Star Fox: Assault), Retro Studios (Metroid Prime), and of course Rare (Star Fox Adventures) going back to the Gamecube days, but all or most of those were with Nintendo as publisher and the other company as developer. They also all stuck to the series formula for their respective franchises for the mostpart.

In this case, Wikipedia says this game is being co-developed by the two companies, with Nintendo as the publisher. Also, it looks like Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda code of paint, so it's not following the Zelda  formula. I guess this is pretty new territory for Nintendo after all.

I honestly never really thought of these two series as in any way related, so this looks kind of random to me. lol

Yeah, as I told Aaron, I have at least copied and pasted to Word documents before posting, or tried to, but I guess I'll just start with text only in Wordpad.

Yeah, I did at least try to copy my blogs to Word processors, but OpenOffice isn't being nice to me. I guess I'll try Notepad instead, and start there instead of in the blog itself.

The Xbox 360 Sure is Nifty! Part Two: Disc-Based Games

I remember when I first got my Gamecube, Kameo was on the box as supposedly one of the launch titles for it. Bummer that I never got to play it.

Xbox One's 24 Hour Check-In DRM caught on video during Killer Instinct Tourney

It may be that their "can't just flip a switch" statement just meant they couldn't go back on this policy without tinkering with all the boxes, and some of them just happened to still have whatever DRM chip thingy causes this to happen, because they couldn't realistically get to them all in time before shipping the units.

Then again, I'm not going to pretend to have the proper knowledge to analyze why this might happen, so I'll just say any theories I come up with are pure speculation, and I wasn't planning on buying an XBOX One anyway, so I don't care. Also, now that I see footage of it in action, I'm not all that excited about Killer Instinct.

Your link is broken, though. My pointer cursor turns into a text cursor when I hover over it, and the link text turns from orange to black, but I can't click on it. The video works, though. "Yo, XBONE, what up!"

Minecrafting on the PS3 and some music.

Now that I have a laptop that may be able to run the game, I might try the Minecraft demo on the game's website. I don't know if I'll like it, though. I honestly do prefer updated graphics, and I'm not really that big on creating things in video games myself or free-roam style play. I prefer to overcome well thought out challenges put before me by developers. I love writing and coming up with ideas for stories, but not so much building things in video games. It just doesn't appeal to me. But then, I guess I could just enjoy what other people build. I guess we'll see. Sorry about the delay, though.

I like the first song ok. Whoever Kjell is, may he rest in peace. Sounds like trailer music, which makes sense, since the video you posted is basically a trailer. Speaking of which, the graphics look awesome when I watch it on my laptop in 1080p, but even though it looks like they're trying to be realistic, I get a very "cartoony" vibe from it. Something about the vehicle models being a little too clean and well-rounded looking, and the way the character models move a bit too fast and jerky. Oh well.

I really dig the "Drunken Whaler" song. It also made for an awesome trailer for the game it's attached to, but sounds like it could be used in a really tense, slow murder scene as well. It has a really cool eerie vibe. I wonder how old that song is.

As for the Dead Sara cover, it's ok, but the vocals are too clean for my taste. Cobain's scratchy voice had a real intensity and anger to it a lot of Nirvana covers don't. I bet Courtney Love could do a kick ass cover of "Heart-Shaped Box," though. As messed up as she is, Hole was a pretty good band.

I tried to have a backup in OpenOffice, but it wouldn't let me copy to a document in that program, so I just uploaded the blog I wrote to my Blogger account and provided a link to it on my newest blog here on Pixlbit.

Yeah, they stick pretty close to the book in the first one, but there's definitely stuff missing. I really would have liked to explain where those dogs at the end come from a little better, I thought that was a really sinister and intersting surprise in the book, but in the movie they're just bad-CGI dogs.

And Korra gets way worse in the second season, yes. I didn't put any spoilers in my review of the second season in this blog if you want to know how.

I see you're a Regina Spektor fan. Carry on.

Cool to see Twitch in action.
