I played the demo for the Yoshi game and I liked it a lot. I didn't bother with Tetris 99 because I'm not that great at Tetris or interested in competitive gaming of any kind.

LOL. That's some detective work right there.
It's been out on Switch since August 17th
I also bought Monster Hunter World just like I bought all the other Monster Hunter games and never got into them.
I hear that this one is different though so I want to try it.
That Quokka is doing jazz hands
Good to hear from you again. Like you I played a lot of bits and pieces of games but I put over 200 hours into DQ XI and I loved it.
and yes Yoku's Island Express was great.
I put a ton of hours into this game and enjoyed every minute of it. The dreams were beautifully written and brought me to tears more than once.
The promise of RPGs is what got me to buy a 360 (er, it was a Christmas present for my son actually) but after this game and Blue Dragon there was a lot of crap.
I enjoyed this game a lot. IV and VI as well but maybe this one more than the others. I don't know it's hard to pick.
My history with the series is all over the place. I started with VIII then went back to Dragon Warrior. Then I played IV, V, and VI in a row, then IX. I finally got to play VII on 3DS followed by a second playthrough of VIII on that same platform.
This year it was my pleasure to spend over 200 hours on DQ XI and I'll do it all again on Switch in the Fall.
I love the series, it can be silly and funny but at times it can grab you by the feels.
I might get some in this weekend. Right now I'm too pooped to panda.
