I saw an interview with Tony Hawk around E3 and he said Downhill Jam is one of his all-time favorite levels. Apparently it was his idea from its inception. The interviewer clearly looked awkward after Hawk said this.
That's certainly your valid opinion. I like more zing in my RPGs these days. If you enjoy endless grinding more power to you.

If you're implying that this game would be more enjoyable if I was on drugs and therefore have a higher score you've in fact lessened the game in my eyes. If the work can only be enjoyed while under the influence then the work has no merit on its own.
It's interesting that Carmack isn't gung ho about the Ouya, considering the way Doom was distributed back in the day. And he was also a huge supporter of the mobile gaming platforms. I'm envious!
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I agree with Jason. A Septemeber Wii U launch has been in my mind since E3. The only thing that has me backing down on that is the fact that almost nothing about the system has been talked about since. But then again, the same thing happened with the N64.
I can see it launching with a couple games, namely Nintendo Land, Super Mario U, and a couple of the Ubisoft games. But with Aliens being delayed I really don't see Borderlands 2 making it to the system at launch. I do see it coming to the Wii U considering how bullish Randy Pitchford is on the console.
I really, really love this review. And I think children are the devil, so all the more impressive.

You bring up a great point, Michael. Maybe we don't need the actual act, but I go again to the point that it can't be done in a convincing way. Do you feel the same way about sex in movies or TV shows? Sometimes it can be cheaply done, but othertimes it feels integral to the story.
And I would do everything to Kari Byron...
I really want to play this game. But I'm not willing to jump through the hoops needed to pull it off right now. A stand alone release is right up my alley.
