Astynanax was one of the worst NES games I remember playing as a kid. I rented it and wanted my money back. I remember putting in a cheat code just so I could beat it and say I got my money's worth.

I have similar feelings about gaming growing up. I had friends that played games, but few of them were as passionate about it as I was, at least until high school. I was the leader of the nerds back then (oh, I guess I am now, too) and I remember in the months leading up to the N64 me and my friend Devon would always pass each other in the hallways and say "Mario 64 rules!". I had a lot of friends that were casual gamers, which was why I started writing PlayStation Revolution. Sidenote: I tried selling PSR at Gamefellas before I started working there. They didn't put it on the news stand, but I think it's one of the things that led to me getting a job there.

Oh yeah, a new translation goes without saying. Get rid of Barrett's infamous "Shi~t!"

I don't want remakes of Final Fantasy VII-IX. I do want them upscaled to 1080p. Just make them look good on a PC or HDTV and I'm a happy fanboy.

But no to FF XIII-3. Forget about Mass Effect 3...that was an ending that I deserve to see changed through free DLC.

Yeah, I enjoyed what I played of it. I may start that one over, just because the mechanics are intense, and I know it's short.

I'm used to it taking forever to play games at this point, what with the mandatory title updates and installs.

I've been itching to get into a JRPG lately, but the time commitment on them is daunting. 3D Dot Game Heroes might fit the bill.

That's a good list! I've got two votes for Uncharted so far, so I think that's first up. Besides, my PS3 hasn't gotten any love in months.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious from this stack that my RPG eyes are way bigger than my RPG stomach!

As far as I can tell, Sid Meier isn't directly involved with the game, although the team has been getting his input. They wanted his blessing for the level of violence in the game, for example.

You humble me, sir. I'm glad you've stuck with us and enjoy what we do. I think our podcast influences are pretty obvious, but we've been steadily finding our own groove, and I can't wait to unleash the new shows we have planned.

I've got to ask...what do you think of Statham Sightings? Funny, or too much?
