I like cartoon art and animation, but I thought and still think Link's design in this is garbo. Enemies, bosses, and effects looked great though.

I remember a magazine ad for this game getting my attention back in the 80s. Never played it though. Didn't understand the title.
I cheat back against the computer by using the pause button. A human can't control all units and buildings at once like the AI can, so I feel justified in giving myself that edge.
Yeah I remember seeing the first E3 trailer for the game. Was mad impressive at the time. I knew I had to play it. I bought an Xbox for this game and KOTOR.
Yeah, I agree. Possibly the best console tactical game imo. I only rate the original X-Com and Jagged Alliance 2 on PC above it, in the genre. I still have my one and only run of the game, unfinished, on a memory card. I hope to get back to it in the near future. The Advance games were fun but didn't compare to the somber tone and dramatic music of the original. Playstation had a hell of a library.
Yeah you need friends to play Smash with, then you go and play against strangers after a while. GAme looks fun though.
Had no idea there was a CIv game on Switch. Xbox and PS4 don't have anything like that from what I've seen.
I've watched some Smash on Twitch. I really enjoy the visuals. A nice break from realism and serious tone.
Ridley Scott didn't direct BR2049
Never got the love for DQ8. The character development/class system was non-existant compared to previous DQ games. It was like a regression to the primitive days of JRPGs. I hear 11 is the same, but the world and charactes look 100 times better from what I've seen *shrug*
Rockstar needs to put their mission structure to bed. Just imagine how next level this shit would be if the missions weren't so stiflingy rigidly scripted and they embraced simulation more thoroughly. It would pretty much blow all open world AAA away by orders of magnitude. Imagine mssions playing out with the freedom of a Hitman or Phantom Pain or Deus Ex
My GotY is Kenshi, a game that was ten years in the making. Can't even describe it. One of the best descriptions I've heard is "Mount and Blade in budget Vvardenfell (Morrowind's world)" Also throw in survival simulation, RTS elements, 4x strategy, RPG. It's low budget and janky, but there is really nothing like it right now.
Double Dragon...not even close. I'll take superior graphics, sound, two player co-op, all moves available from the start of the game over a shitty versus mode and a couple of ok-but-not-game-changing enemy additions.
Now DD2 on the NES is another story. The arcade version was far prettier, but the NES version just felt better.
