Mothman's Attic - Pictorial part one

Posted on 03/19/2013 at 09:11 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I think BUgs, Sylvester and Daffy are eyeing your Soul Calibur 2 pads. That's a really nice watch and case for it. Also digging the happy Mega Man bobblehead. Glad he was saved from the clutches of the evil Dr. Trash Can, but the threat still lingers, looming in the background behind our hero.

Overview: Mega Man Classic

MM: I actually really like that one, I'd give it a B+

MM2: I though MM had boss rooms, just MM2 did away with the enemies in corridors before boss fights. Anyway, I always just use item 2 for Heat Man's stage. I hate those disappearing block puzzles. Best music and in my opinion easiest if you choose normal. I agree with your A.

MM3: I loved the addition of Protoman, and of course sliding; I've never liked using Rush to jump higher, but I do think he was a cool addition to replace the "items" in MM2. That being said, aside from the amazing title song, I didn't like the music as much, and that difficulty of which you speak was a bit too high for me; I can usually only beat Snake Man before I quit. However, it is beloved by many and I want to get further, which says something about a game, so until I've at least beaten more of it, I can't contend with your score. I like it, I just need to get better at it.

MM7: I LOVED this game when I was a kid, my only problem was that intro scene not being skippable if you forgot your password, but Bass and Treble were so cool, and that opening scene was awesome to me at the time. I actually got close to beating it later in life, though as a kid I think I was happy just replaying the Ice level. lol I found out you could get a certain Capcom song to play in Shade Man's stage when I watched the Game Grumps' Let's Play.

Street Fighter X Mega Man: I got up to the second "castle" stage; I need to download the version that lets you save, though. I won't spoil anything, but in my opinion, it's really creative and fun, and I love the soundtrack mixes.

I probably watched clementj642 Let's Play all of the others on Youtube at some point, but never played them myself, so can't comment. I'll have to find that MM7 fighting game now though, thanks for letting me know!

Guess what Mega Man game I remember playing the most from my childhood, though?

That's right. Tiger Electronics, baby. Cool

Ha, nice!

Have you ever heard of the Animaniacs movie where Wakko sets out to find a haypenny? I've only seen the first part, but it looked funny.

KOF: I really like the easy going feel in that one.

Zelda II Link looks like he doesn't have pants in that artwork.

I prefer the original SFII track, but that artwork is neat.

The Last Story video does not exist, apparently.

Chrono Trigger mostly just sounded like smooth jazz to me, which isn't a bad thing.

Yeah, the Tales of Grace was nice, but nothing mind blowing.

I love live albums as well.

Which Sonic is Toxic Cave song from? I can't remember it from any of the original three.

Those look awesome.

I've been inactive... Sorry about that.

I too really hope people stop buying online-only games, and force developers to offer an at-home version. Of course, someone already hacked SimCity's code, and was able to play it (for much longer than thirty minutes at a time, which was what the first hack had reported) offline, so maybe if we all learn t... I've said too much, and I don't even actually plan on going through the trouble. lol Just be consumer friendly, and I'll buy your product if I like it.

And yet today, I turn it to strict moderation and it clearly has two female sillhouettes with femal symbols in their butts prominently displayed. I don't want to live on this planet any more.

Nothing fancy, just downloaded Soundcloud to my phone this morning, and used the phone's microphone to record my voice. In future, I might use Audacity to clean up my tracks a bit. Both are free downloads. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know with Audacity and Soundcloud, but I haven't used much of anything fancy since I graduated college (where I used DJ equipment in the college radio station to record and Adobe Audition to edit), so those are the free programs I use.

Thanks for listening!

The Piston AKA The Steam Box

Yeah, $1000 is way too much for that. As for Steam, as Tami said, it seems to run on pretty much any software; I have it on PC/Windows XP, seems like it's friendly to Ubuntu and PS3 users given what I've seen on its pages, and it runs Mac as well, though it often seems like there are a lot more games able to be run on Windows than anything else (and if you have XP or above, you're usually good to go).

My problem is, it won't let me add friends until I pay for its games, but it does seem to have slowed down my Dell D620 laptop, and I don't necessarily want to pay for something if it also might slow down my computer. I was eyeing Sonic Spinball, but might see if that's available on my phone, where I'd likely play it most.

Glad you like it so far. I've actually been toying with the idea of podcasting for a while now. Might just start.
