Great review Jamie. Man I love this game to death. I was playing it last night lol. The first time I played it was at a Pizza Hut, and being such a huge fan of Arnold and Stallone and 80s action movies, it blew me away. I don't think I could ever get sick of it. It's really not as hard as people say. All it takes is practice.
I read that when Goldeneye came out college scores plummeted or something. We had some similar rules like no odd job. The main one was no looking on other player's screens. I can't say how many times we would scream out stop looking at my screen! lol. Goldeneye's multiplayer was so much fun!
That time mechanic totally ruined Majora's Mask for me. I couldn't get over it. Give me A Link to the Past over that trash anyday. 
I've never played this one, but the NES version is pretty cheap on amazon. It certainly looks like it would be fun.
I never could get into the original Metroid that much either. I don't know if I ever beat it without the Justin Bailey code. Super Metroid was fantastic. I didn't remember Echoes being that hard, but it's been a long ass time. I was just thankful that they brought the screw attack back. No Metroid game is complete without that. 
That's a lot of games. Your gonna have a blast with Peacewalker. If you like the MGS style of gameplay. Peacewalker was the reason why I bought a psp. Don't forget to shoot dudes in the back of the head with tranquilizer darts! lol 
I used the add games from a text file option, and it was really easy adding all my games. Although I probably missed a couple. It took some time to make text files with notepad, but I like how you can add every game. Not like on 1up where they were missing a lot of games.
Sorry to hear about your cat Ben. At least he's not suffering anymore.
It's amazing that you should mention Cave Story + AND Super House of Dead Ninjas since I bought both of them recently lol. They are awesome games. Cave Story + was like $3. It kind of reminds me of a modern version of the first Metroid, but with a plot, and leveling up.
GH! I never could get into the first Metal Gear. On NES anyway. I heard that the MSX version is a lot better. I played the game that made me a gamer last night as well. Then again, I play Double Dragon almost every day lol.
Great blog Justin. MERP sounds like it would have been incredible. Why isn't there an open world rpg based off of Tolkien's work anyway? There is so much potential there. I wish gaming companies would allow for these kinds of mods to exist. I know there's some really awesome stuff in the Doom community, but then again ID had released their source code a long time ago.
