Haha, I can totally see that! We also discourage watching another player's screen, especially when planting mines.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to try this game out. I'm going to play Lords of Shadow first, though. Mostly because I'd like to see the backstory leading to Mirror of Fate, but also because I'm fully immersed in Fire Emblem Awakening right now, and it'll give me an excuse to wait a bit.
I think the reason they didn't simply call this Lords of Shadow 2 is because, at the time (I'm now hearing rumours of this hitting other systems), it would be exclusive to 3DS and they want the numbered series to remain on multiplat consoles, like PS3 and 360. It would've made things a lot easier to just call it Castlevania: Mirror of Fate or Lords of Shadow 2, but ah well. I guess it's just a name!
The graphics and art style on this game look great.
I'll throw a signature your way. My friend got this game for his Playstation when it came out. I think with our combined efforts we still didn't ever manage to even come close to finishing it, haha.
Out of the DS three, I think Dawn of Sorrow was my favourite, and Order may have been my least fave, but I still really liked it. I remember the fetch quests being a little irksome. I remember calling it the "World of Warcraft of Castlevania games".
Still, though, I really loved Order of Ecclessia, and I finished it. This is me attempting to shame you into completing the game!
That was an incredible review!
I think every 80s/90s kid has a soft-spot for Contra. You're exactly right; during a time when the action sci-fi movie ruled the box office, Contra gave you that experience at home, and it is most definitely best enjoyed with a friend.
I endorse this message!
Oh, (Pile On) The Man with the Golden Gun was definitely staple for us as well.
I always went for the Helicopter Pilot for some reason.
Haha, I'll endeavour to play RKA then!
A friend had Hard Corps when we were kids, so we had a lot of time on our hands to master it. You can't beat Browny and Fang for two player. Go for Browny's Yo-Yo weapon. It devastates!
