No, I can't say I do. I didn't intend to offend anyone there, but my point was, if you haven't had a good game in a series you have an attachment to in a long time, it's easy to overlook flaws in a decent game.
It doesn't mean you can't judge a good game from a bad one, it just means that you might be apologetic at this point. Maybe that's not the case at Sonic Retro, but it is a reasonable assumption to make.
For the record, I have not played Sonic Colors since E3. I really enjoyed it there, so I am curious to try out the finished product, regardless of what Jason's review says. I too love the old Sonic games, so I desperately want Colors to be a great game and see Sonic returned to his former glory.
