I play platforms games by myself mostly, with the occasional game night of NSMBWii with my younger brother. I knew, just by watching the videos and playing the game, the the co-op mode was tacked on. The level design is not two-player friendly.
The SNES games did a surprisingly OK job with multiplayer.
Too much hype, not enough polish.
I totally dug that nutshell description.

While I completely agree on the motion controls, I still think Retro nailed the 2-D platforming.
And the gaming media will fawn over EVERYTHING they think is awesome. How can anyone explain why the- *puches himself in the face*
People, get these demos. If anything, it will convince Nintendo that game demos for the 3DS(ware/VC/games itself) will be worth it. DO IT.

It's coming from the same composer who worked on the Prime games. The remixes of the old tunes sound wonderful.
For those of you with a 360 and a Live account, the game is available for download under X-Box Originals. Playing it, and loving it... aside from Raz's coat turned blue for some reason and the slowdown that sometimes happens when Majesco's logo appears.
People seem to easily forget that none of the original major players that made Sonic great in the Genesis days are long gone from Sonic Team.
Though this comment is coming from someone who thought Sonic and the Black Knight was pretty fun, despite being flawed. Yet how this game is considered terrible yet Sonic and the Secret Rings is considered 'better' continues to astound me to this day.
I can't get over it. I just can't.
