Yea, the DS version is supposed to be great too. I remember "E" on Major Nelson's podcast raving about it all the time. I'm going to have to pick that up.
I read this book recentley, Ignore Everybody: And 39 Keys to Creativity by Hugh MacLeod. It was kinda about dividing your time between creative and practical matters and how to appraoch each of them effectively. I think I just took away the idea that, when it comes to your creative stuff, you should listen to no one but yourself and follow your instincts.
All I've heard from them is the song "21st Century Digital Boy" on a box set called Whatever: 90's Pop and Culture Box put out by Rhino Records. It's apparently on their Stranger Than Fiction album too. I'd like to hear more sometime.
Fighting games were big then. I didn't play them at all. I want to get Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo though and maybe Darkstalkers.
Yea, that Batman Arkham Knight trailer told me absolutely nothing about the game. It was flashy and exciting, but without gameplay, it's pretty meaningless.
In going through the list of releases, I noticed so many genres that people talk about and that I missed: Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and on and on. I'm especially interested in going back to play all the JRPGs and strategy games.
Pyro Pete was the last boss we beat that Monday and he went down very quickly. It sort of put an exclamation point on my whining about how easy the game was on Normal.
