Xbox live has nice features but yeah, it gobbles up alot of cash when you add up the monthly fees to a whole year. I also feel like there are a lot of good games this generation I haven't gotten around to yet.
I'm waiting for the same reasons,Cary. In other words, I want choices! I'll probably be swinging around to your blog pretty soon!
Admittedly the new Killzone footage was impressive! I actually watched the trailer you put up.
That's my philosophy in a nutshell,Ceva. I usually bide my time until about half way into a new gaming generation before going for the bait. By then there's a decent library of games to choose from!

I do expect to be impressed with the new infrastructures! (Online features as well as improved ways we communicate) If I wasn't so anti-social, it would be reason for excitement,Jas. 
That's all we can really do! The first quarter of every new gen is always a bit lackluster so no surprise there. lol. It tends to build up momentum mid 2nd quarter. 
It's a tough predicament indeed. You don't want to completely demotivate an earlier developer with harsh criticism so they'll never try again yet you also want to be honest to the consumer. I think this is why I always shied away from reviewing games professionally,Blake. lol.
My question is "What's Garry's Incident?". That's probably the biggest insult, I don't even know about this game. lol. Sorry TB got an unfair shake-down just because some guy flipped out over some criticism.
Yet I have seen the opposite spectrum. Aka, big review sites pretty much being pretentious pricks and sewing misinformation while getting away with it just because they're mainstream and have many backers.
That doesn't apply in this case. I'm just reminding us tyranny and deception can come from any side.
Yeah, they really butchered young Maria's personality in this game. lol. Still,it didn't look "terrible". I also liked the art style in CV Judgement,faithfulness be damned!
