100 Steam Games

I really should have asked for a review copy ... oh well, now my review will be from the perspective of someone who paid full price, so I can definitely say whether it's worth that or not.

It's about $2.58 a month. Not bad, but even then I could budget better considering how many of these games are just sitting there. Sealed

I've more or less decided to not worry about the games I haven't played yet. They'll be there when I'm done with everything else.

Having said that, the amount of games I have for current gen platforms may keep me from buying new consoles going forward.

If PC gaming truly is cheaper in the long run, I may stick with it. We shall see.

Castlevania ... Mania ... and Spyro

I bought Lords of Shadow in part for the lore. I'm looking forward to Patrick Stewart doing VO for what has become one of my favorite franchises.

I might care more about reviews for the sequel if I paid more than about $5-7 for  ...

Castlevania ... Mania ... and Spyro

I never played the games as a kid, but they are the perfect mostly stress-free games for me right now. It's funny how I associate Spyro and Crash Bandicoot with PSX mascots, but their games are completely the opposite in design philosophy.

And I did not know that about the Chihuaha from the Taco Bell ads. I don't think the DidYouKnowGaming? YouTube video about Spyro I watched mentioned it.

Some trivia about that dog: His campaign correlated with some financial losses (about a 6% food sales decline) for Taco Bell and that's why he was scrapped, even though he became a cultural icon. I was surprised when I learned the dog was bad for Taco Bell business and Doritos Locos Tacos were amazing for businees. I don't love those things. So powdery.

Too bad you can't keep the cats. Yakuza 6 cats stay content in the cat cafe.

Steam Winter Sale & Aquaman

I will get it, but I just think of it as a PS4 game in my case, the same way I have Shovel Knight on Steam, but it just felt right to play on PS4. I'm waiting for a sale, but if it doesn't happen again (I know it went on sale for PS4 after the Game Awards, but I didn't have time to check my budget) I'll just pay the $20.

The way THPS games used to be fun? You mean it has an amazing punk and ska soundtrack? Sweet! Tongue Out

I never played Origins or much of any Assassin's Creed game. It's funny you say that, since the guy on GameRanx (YouTube channel) keeps saying Odyssey is just a step below Origins in every way.

Like you said, I'm sold on the mouse and WASD works well, but having to use space to jump and the grenades being mapped to left control gave me some issues when I played just now. I will say the sound design is way more apparent on a laptop in front of my face than it was on a TV screen farther away from me when I played the demo on PS4 and holy shit is the movement smooth with a mouse. I think if I re-map the keys, I'll likely enjoy it much more on PC than I did on PS4.
