Like I've said before, I've beaten the last boss in the challenge mode but not in the arcade mode, which really rankles me. I still have it listed as unbeaten in my backloggery. It's just so dang hard! But man, I do love this game. The graphics and music, the challenges, all the little extras—it's a fantastic love letter to the series. (You're right about that emulation though. It's just not quite right.)
I'm glad you liked the game. I just wish I'd been able to play the co-op but then you need two copies of it. It sucks that we might not ever see another Contra game like this, but at least we have Contra 4.
Child of Light is tempting but I just finally starting playing Shovel Knight, so I think I'll wait to pick up something else.
My wife is playing DA: Inquisition on the 360 right now but she wants to trade it in once she finishes it and get the PS4 version. The 360 version is sooooo buggy.
Egads, now I'm cringing just thinking about it...
Yes, but everytime you sat down somewhere it would make a mess
That sounds like an odd pairing. I mean, dolphins don't have tentacles o_O
I haven't played Pac-Pix but I did buy a copy of it...last year? I think it was last year. Anyway, I found a new copy of it at Old Navy, of all places, for $5 and couldn't pass it up. Still need to play it though.
Then you should probably also check out Pocket Trains Though if I remember right, you don't have an iOS device new enough to actually play games...?
We had a place just like that called Nickel-a-Play! Man, I loved that place and was so sad when it eventually shut down.
For me, Canvas Curse was the first real vindication of the DS's touch screen. Sure, WarioWare Touched! was fun but Canvas Curse was a full-fledged game, not a collection of touch screen tech demos. I loved it and am definitely looking forward to Rainbow Curse, though I won't be getting it right away (that's become the story of my life). And yes, cool graphics! Is it just me or is Nintendo the only one doing anything interesting graphics-wise these days?
